Dear Steve,
Was so saddened to hear about Sharon's passing. I was trying to find her and came across her obituary. I had been thinking about her for some time and wanted to come in contact with her again. I remember the great times we had together when we were in Houston. She was such a dear, sweet and fun loving friend. I am just so sorry I was late in trying to contact her. By the entries I have read she still had a strong faith in God, her teaching and especially her family. I know that she is in a great place now. I know this does not make it easier for you and the family. She was a great friend to me when I needed someone. You and the family are in my prayers.

Dear Steve,
Thank you for letting us know today about Sharon's passing. It is such a shock and we are so sorry we didn't know sooner. We would have attended her service.
Please remember that our sweet Lord has called Sharon to be with Him at this time and only He knows why. For us, it is our faith that holds us together. Sharon was one of my very favorite friends. We had many wonderful times together, never failing to talk about our faith and love for our Saviour. Don's and my prayer for you and your family is that the Lord will comfort, bless you and strenghten your faith. Blessings to you and all the family and dear Ashley, congratulations on your new baby. Love and Hugs, Don and Patsy Walters

To the Hulse Family,
May you find peace in knowing that Sharon touched so many lives. As a second grade teacher she nurtured so many and helped to form their values, their morals, their lives. She will never truly be gone from us as long as there is one child who still feels her effect on their lives. May she now rest in peace until you can be with her again.
With much respect and love...

Dear Angie,

I am so sorry to hear of the loss of your mother. I can 't believe it has been so long since we have been in touch. I now live out in Ellerbe and drive past your old house every day. I have thought about you and your family so often. I remember sleep-overs at your house and how we would all argue over who would get the "middle" cinnamon roll...and your mom would solve the problem by eating it her herself! Please know that I am thinking of you and keeping your family in our prayers. May you continue to see her love in all the friends and family that surround you.

To the Hulse Family,
We are so sorry for your loss. Sharon taught 2nd grade to both my children (now grown). Nearly everyone can recall a special teacher who made a tremendous difference in their life. For both my children, that teacher was Mrs. Hulse. She enriched, nurtured and touched so many. She will be remembered always.

Sharon taught 2nd grade to three of our children, and piano to all four. Because of her, the kids take Cotillion classes. She came to countless games and special events to see the kids over the years. Sharon supported our family in so many ways, so many times. She became a very close friend to my husband and I, and an incredibly important person in the lives of our children. And, they couldn't wait until they were as tall as Mrs. Hulse! Three of them have grown taller, and the other was getting close... She touched our lives in so many ways. Our love and prayers go out to Stephen and her family during this difficult time. Rest assured that Sharon's warmth, love, generosity, and humor touched everyone that she met, and we all have a special place in our hearts just for her.

Dear Hulse Family,

I have enjoyed knowing Sharon, first as the Mom of Ashley Hulse during the Heritage High School years for our daughters (Shawn Howard), and then as a member of the book club for Burning Tree. I am not a member of the neighborhood, but Sharon was always so gracious and welcoming whenever I saw her. She loved her family, her career and her music. I loved spending time with her over the years. I will surely miss her beautiful smile, her great sense of humor, and her amazing spirit. My prayers and condolences go out to Ashley and the family.

Steven, Angie , Ashley and Adam,
I am so sorry to hear of your loss.
Sharon was a special person to me.
She and her sister, Karen, taught me piano when I was very young. They also taught me songs to sing, one of which I sang at the Minden vaiety show.
They both stood at the foot of the stage encouraging me as I sang before the crowd, for two performances.
Even though had not been in contact for many years, those memories iof her teaching and encouraging me have remained with me.
My thoughts are with you.
