Steve is my big brother. The position that he filled well. He loved his family and friends, yet he showed it through being silly.
Steve loved his life. Steve loved being here. Steve loved to work, play, and being a respectable part of society. He always did the right thing.
Steve found out that he had stage 4 colon cancer shortly after his 56th birthday. He fought hard for 10 months until loosing his battle April 25, 2018.
His legacy is stay positive, live life to the fullest, be nice to everyone, and learn everyone's story.
Raising Awareness:
Above all, take care of yourself. Do not put off going to the doctor. If you think something is wrong, have it checked out. Steve could have possibly survived cancer if he would have gone to the doctor earlier.
I miss you big brother!
Love, Joli

Some people meet death with open arms and thank God their time has come. Others beg to be spared for just one more day saying there is much to be done. But if we, before performing an act, would stop and think of death, judgement and all such things, I'm sure we would do our best so that when our time comes we may say: "Take me Lord without delay". Sister Kathy Cesnik, 'The Keepers' documentary. She wrote this at 16 years of age.
I never met Steve but through our FaceBook posts I got to know him, my once removed cousin, just a little. I could tell from that short bit of exposure he was a fine man and much loved by his family. I will remember him always.
