Susan Fox Obituary

Susan R. (Sue) Fox, 69, passed away on the evening of April 29, 2016, after a year-long courageous battle against cancer. Survived by her loving husband Bob Martin, children Amy and Brian Fox, Michelle Cownie (Paul) and Daniel Martin (Mia), and six grandchildren, Paige and Sam Distefano, Amelia and Lily Martin, and Tyler and Ryan Cownie. She earned a J.D. at the University of Denver Law School in 1974. She worked for a number of law firms and as Regional Counsel for Coldwell Banker Commercial. Throughout her career, Sue was an active member of the Board of Governors of the Colorado Bar Association and the Board of Directors of the Colorado Women's Bar Association. Sue was very active in Rotary International served as President of the Denver Rotary in 2008. Sue enjoyed her family and her many friends. She was a volunteer with the Denver Botanic Gardens, and active member of Augustana Lutheran Church and participated in a many other community service projects. Services are scheduled for Friday, May 6, 2016, at 1:30pm at Augustana Lutheran Church, 5000 E. Alameda Ave., Denver CO. A reception will follow at 3:00pm at the Wellshire Inn, at 3333 S. Colorado Blvd. Contributions may be made to honor Sue Fox at Denver Hospice Center, 8299 E. Lowry Blvd., Denver, CO 82030 or Denver Rotary Foundation, 1385 S. Colorado Blvd., A 304, Denver, CO 80222.

My condolences to all of Sue's family! I am shocked to hear of her passing. I had worked with Sue intermittently since the mid 80's and she was ALWAYS a delight to be around - funny, happy, positive and kind - loved to keep me updated about her children and grandchildren - precious Sue will be missed!!

I was so shocked to get the news of Sue's passing. She will always be remembered as that bubbly friendly person with the infectious smile and positive outlook on life. It is still hard to believe she is gone. I was so glad that I got to see her at our last reunion.
My most heartfelt condolences to her family. I know how hard this is for you. Please know that her Valley High class of 64 family all remembers her with the most positive memories and we are all supporting you.

I have known Sue since 1986 when she worked at CB. I had lunch with her when she told me she was retiring. I am so sorry to hear about her passing. My thoughts and prayers are with all the family that she loved so much.
