I knew Thierry through my sister (Marcia) and when her daughter called me and told me Thierry had moved on to God I was saddened very deeply, I remember when I first meet Thierry I was 12 and he was like a Big Star to me every time his name would come on I would brag how I knew him and he made me laugh one day when my sister was picking on me. And as far as Im concerned he was a SuperStar! My prayer's goes out to Diana,Dasha,Damin even though we lost touch I still consider you my In-Laws I love you guys

Thierry even though through the passage of time our paths had not crossed for quite sometime I will always cheerish the time that we shared prior. Monday night football @ Sam Taylors back in the day with all of us NFL team donning characters talking trash was a blast. Seems like only yesterday when I called you @ home and told you, which you did not believe at the time, that CU was about to get a 5th down vs Mizzu. May you rest in peace my brother and give my regards to Verdie and "Windy City" who preceeded you to the Pearly Gates. May God continue to bless your family. Eternally your friend and dogmatic nemisis (a few times},

To one of nicest men i have ever known, He always had time to talk to me on the radio and off, Thiery and I developed a relationship and I am really going to miss that. I once won a bet and he had me co-host a show with him, that's how it all started! I spoke to him everyday for five years and after that we remained friends. My wife worked at the station for a while as well. He is really going to be missed, but we know he's in a better place. (Gravedigger)

To the family and friends of Thierry M. Smith, may the comfort of friends and family be your strength now and in the days ahead. Thierry and I were classmates and graduates of Denver EHS Class of '71. I have fond memories of his passion for basketball and football. I also remember that he had the school ideal when it came to perfectly shaped afros. When I came back to Denver after twenty years, I was delighed to listen to his radio show as I commuted back and forth to work in the morning. He was a gifted broadcast professional and he had a casual style that made me feel as though I was included in the inner circle of barber shop talk with "the brothers". With sincere and heartfelt sympathy in your time of sorrow, I wish you God's peace.

My family had the honor and pleasure of growing up on "High Street" with the Smith family. From a very early age it was apparant that Thierry Smith was a gift to the Denver community. His loyalty and commitment as a son, husband, father, and professional set the example for young and old; especially the student athletes of our community. His sports reporting gave a perspective that the African American community was craving and definitely appreciated. He never forgot where he came from and he always spoke his mind...
God Bless you Thierry. Rest in Peace

Diana, Dasha, Damon, I can't even find the words to express how sad I am that Thierry has passed. I was one of the lucky one's who knew Thierry on a personal level, and we were very good friends. My heartfelt condolences go out to the family. This truly broke my heart. I met Thierry many years ago when he used to work with my ex-husband at KYBG radio, and he was one of the nicest, kindest, gentlest men I've ever met. He will be truly missed in this community because he had a heart the size of Denver. God Bless.
