Tim was a definite light in our family. He never had a negative word about anyone. He would tell me, "Eileen, we all have our own ways and see things through our own eyes. You just have to make sure your eyes are clear. He brought love and laughter to our family. He taught me not only how to see the laughter in life but to laugh at myself when I was taking life too seriously. I thought that light went out but then I look at my beautiful niece Dawn, Josh, Hogan and Emerson and the love and strength they have and share to keep all of us strong is the light he would want for all of us. I think of you often and wish I had just one more talk with you. Maybe I will, when I see you again.

April 14, 2014

Tim lived his life with gusto. Whether he was at work or play, with family or friends, he brought a positive attitude and a spirit of fun that made everyone want to be around him. He was a wonderful role model for his sons, family, employees and friends. The world and our family are sadder places without him. We will always miss him!

Dear Uncle Tim,
I remember every time we came to colorado you got us a moon bounce to play on. You woke up earlier than me and when I came downstairs you played with me. You also taught me cool games to play. We will always love and remember you.

Love, Ella

Tim's positivity, strength, humor and good nature were as reliable as the sun and moon. When he passed I simply could not imagine the world, and our family, without him in it. He was always the calm, sensible one that held our crazy family of hens together. The strength of Dawn, Josh & Hogan are a tribute the amazing man he was and his mark on the world, and on those who were lucky enough to know him, will continue the rest of our days. I have lost a brother and my children the greatest uncle imaginable - Tim will continue to light our lives from above as reliably as he did when he was with us. I love you, Tim. Thank you so much for gracing my life for the last 25 years, you will be forever missed.

Tim, you were a great friend who always made everyone around you feel like they mattered. Hanging around you was so much fun because it always felt like something really cool was bound to happen at any moment.

I am grateful for the time we shared and regret that there weren't more (I'm so sorry now that I didn't do the Mudder with you in June).

You lived life on your terms and brightened the lives of those around you. You've left a legacy of family and friends who are better for having shared this ride with you.

Godspeed, my friend.

Tim has been my everything for 25 years. He was my best friend, the love of my life, my business partner and the father of our 3 beautiful children. Losing him has created a whole in my life that can never be filled.
That said, I will not crumble and I will not break. I have made a promise to Tim to make sure that I do whatever it takes to fulfill our dreams and keep the life that we created alive. I will make sure that Joshua, Hogan, Emmerson and I be the very best we can be. We will be living legacies as a tribute to having the blessing to live our lives with such a great man. People will look at my children and say, “of course they are kind, good-hearted, positive and hard working people. They could be nothing less because Tim Abbott was their Dad.”
Tim & I loved every minute of raising the boys; we made the most out of life and always had so much fun. We have been so proud of the boys and the fact that they have become such good people. When Emme came along it was a shock we were not expecting. We had concerns about starting over and ever being able to retire and of course being older parents. We wondered why now when the boys both are leaving home and we were about to start a new chapter as empty nesters. We knew however we were given this blessing for a reason and we would be shown how special she was and that she was meant for us. Now it all makes sense. God gives before he takes away. Emmerson is my reason for waking up every day and still smiling. She cannot be raised in a house full of sorrow, so I must stay positive like her Dad would be. Even though she has lost her Dad she was born 18 and 21 years after her brothers, so that she will always have great men as father figures in her life. They will be there to make sure she knows how amazing her father was and walk her down the aisle some day.
I am so sorry and sad for so many people who will miss having Tim in their lives. He will be so deeply missed. He would do anything for a friend and always be there for all those he cared about. He never met a stranger and would have easy conversation with everyone he met. Tim was the strongest, kindest, toughest and most fun man I have ever known. Everyone who knew him knew he was one of the good guys. As I asked Why him, my sister said to me Why not? Why shouldn't the best people get to go to a better place? Heaven is truly a better place now that Tim is there. I will look forward to the day when we can meet again.

I love you!

To my big brother, best friend and golfing companion...I will miss you more than words can say. You gave so much and asked for so little in return. You were always there for me when I needed you and I could not have asked for a better big brother. You are the toughest hardest working person I have ever met. I don't know that I ever actually said this to you while you were here so hopefully you just know that I am and always will be so proud of you and what you accomplished. I love you and you will always be in my thoughts.

I will always remember Tim making sure Shay was safe on your boat when he was little. Even though he couldn't walk, he was adament that he not go near the back. He was obviously a great father and I know he loved you dearly Dawn. You two had a magical romance that brought you three amazing kiddos. Your loss breaks my heart so much. I think when you have been with someone for so long, no matter if they are with you in the present or the past, their spirit guides you. Tim will guide you and your children the rest of your life. I am honored to have known him and shared a few laughs. Love you Dawn and know I'm always here for you.

Dawn, I recall Tim looking at you after you spoke at an event. LOVE just was all over his face. I was talking to him and said you did a great job and he agreed! You were pregnant and looked so beautiful that day (a glow all over you). Tim saw the glow. I will never forget him looking at you!

Tim, we will miss you very much... Dock 2 (Horsetooth Reservoir) will never be the same without you... You inspired us with your fun kind, loving spirit... We were all so fortunate to have the pleasure of knowing you... You made boating weekends more fun! We love you dear Tim and pray for your continued spiritual happiness... We also pray Dawn, Josh, Hogan and Emme will find happiness and contentment in the beautiful times they were able to share with you and always keep your memory close to their heart...

When I lost my father you were so kind... I've attached a photo I took of you saying, "Danna here is your butterfly"... Because you knew how much the butterfly meant at that time...

Here is a butterfly for you dear Tim... May your spirit also carry on...

Tim Abbott was more to me than just my best friend's dad. Tim Abbott was like a father to me as well. From the moment I met him and Dawn,(in 2005), I was treated like a son. I was given my first actual job by Tim at Fun Pro. He taught me about being responsible, hard working and what it means to be a good respectable man. The world may have lost a great man, but heaven is lucky to have received one. Tim Abbott will be greatly missed.

My little bro - You accomplished so much in your life. You were truly blessed with a wife who loved you dearly, stood by you through thick and thin, gave you three beautiful children and helped you take your business venture to the next level. You and Dawn raised 2 wonderful sons that will take your lessons into the world as they grow into adults and created a special little girl that will be there for Dawn during this incredibly difficult time. You ALWAYS stayed in touch with me and told me you loved me at least once a week. It was obvious at your services that you touched so many people with your kindness and willingness to help out whenever needed. You leave behind many people who will keep you alive through their thoughts of you. I love you so much. I will miss you so much. Until me meet again. Your Sister April.

Tim Abbott was a big part of my life growing up. He lived a few houses away, and he and my brother, John Jewell, and Paul Crudele were together all the time. Tim was always there. He was always a great guy,and mischevious, and even though I had only seen him once in several years, he was one of those people who was part of my family. In fact, the graduation picture on this site was taken at the house I grew up in. Tim, may the Lord bring you speedily into His heavenly kingdom to spend eternity with Him. You have done so much for so many and were always kind and humble. I will miss you but I cherish the memories I have with you. I pray for the Lord to bring strenght and healing to his family members left behind. God bless you all. Jennifer Jewell (Chaplin)

Tim, I will miss you. We may have lost touch the last few years, but I still thought of you, Dawn JT, and Hogan as friends. We went thru a lot as neighbors. You were the love of Dawn's life, she would do anything for you just as you always did for her. You followed your dreams and I was so glad. I will always call you a friend. I Love you all.

Dawn, words can not express the emptiness I feel right now. I always loved working with Tim and you, Tim had this personality that could light up a room.

I always loved to hear him laugh at my dumb jokes. His big smile always had that little boy charm.

Tim will be missed, for sure and will be always be a part of me. If there is anything I can do, please let me know.

My heart goes out to you and your family.

RAISE A GLASS! A tribute to my dear friend, Tim Abbott. You will be so very missed, good sir. I have had the pleasure of knowing you for 17 years - since Dawn was pregnant with Hogan. You were an AMAZING spirit. You were so vivacious and full of life that it was contagious. It was because of my friendship with you and Dawn - with a ton of support from you both that I began Balloonerific in 2000. You were my inspiration with your tireless work ethic and a smile on your face. I'll miss kicking your tail in Fantasy Football or seeing what "bone head" move you would have made at the draft. You were taken way too soon. I raise a glass to you, my friend. My heart is broken for Dawn, Josh, Hogan and little Emmerson.
