I recently planned to contact Tom, we met in a village called Cama in swiss Italy back in the early 70s. Tom asked me to send him a book of Australian songs, to be played on guitar,when I eventually returned to Australia. He gave me a drawing of the place we stayed in at Cama, which I still have hanging on the wall where i currently live in Australia. He was a great person and we had some fun times, and yes , I sent the book. Am so sorry I left it to late to find him, would have loved to show him his drawing is still loved and appreciated.

Tom, I appreciated your patience and time teaching me the art of technical climbing, showing which knots were useful to climbing. I was encouraged with your confidence in my ability to climb the 3rd flatiron while repelling down the back as the sun was setting and hiking back in the dark.Luckily you had a head lamp. What an adventure! Than thank you, Tom. Phyllis G.

To my soul friend
Soul friend, my lovely and admirable companion
Once again, I play this song for you,
Even from the mist above the mountains
I know you can still hear me
Strumming your guitar, I had hoped
by the sound of each string
that your days were multiplied;
And that every sunrise was sublime in its splendor
And that at night you could admire the infinite as a work of art
I tried and I tried to make your song last forever
Free spirited sage,
let the notes embrace you
And lure you into the fields of love and mystery
Where your pure gaze from within
Meets with the other side's many wonders
And just like in the old earthly days
The child in you soars up to the skies
To paint every nuance of the sunset
While delighting with the beautiful dance of the clouds
Flapping your newfound wings and soaring even higher
In search for the next big adventure
Yes, someday I know I'll find you
Skiing down the slopes of the stars,
Climbing the crater of the moon
Or hiking up the stairway to heaven
A miracle did happen
I can hear it now, the song keeps playing
To the bow of every being you touched;
Even a brick wall you could charm
For the angels cast sugar over you
They have reclaimed a brother
A raven drops a feather
An omen of my gift
A double-edged sword
And the highest honor
It's all an illusion
Now you can see through my eyes
A fish swimming winks and smiles
in the endless ocean
