William W. "Bill" Bess

BESS, WILLIAM W. "BILL" William (Bill) Woodrow Bess was born in Ballentine, Montana on November 29th, 1915 and died in Colorado Springs, CO on May 18, 2007 at 91 years of age. Bill grew up in Denver and attended East High School. In 1939, he married Ruth Ingrum and was married for 65 years, together raising four children. For 31 years, Bill was Merchandising Manager for the Morton Salt Company. Over the years, he enjoyed many hunting and fishing adventures with family and friends. He loved helping others and could fix about anything. He was a member of Trinity Baptist Church in Wheat Ridge, CO and the Trinity Baptist Church in Mesa, AZ. Bill and Ruth enjoyed their retirement in Mesa for 20 years. He was preceded in death by his mother and father, his wife Ruth, brothers Ray and Don, daughter Virginia (Ginger) Snyder, and grandson, Jamie Richard. He is survived by sister, Ruth Culp of California, daughter Sally (Jim) Richard, son Bill (Karen), and son Doug. He also leaves behind nine grandchildren, nine greatgrandchildren, two nieces, and four nephews. Viewing, Tues., 9-11 AM, Crown Hill Mortuary, 29th and Wadsworth (west side), followed by a Celebration of Life, 12PM, Tower of Memories Chapel at Crown Hill Cemetery.
