Mr. Greene was my high school teacher . I just found out about this and I'm so sad . Mr. Greene was a great teacher at Lincoln and he taught me so much about radio and electronics. Mr. Greene gave me my first ham test for my novice license ( KA0SXL) . He was with me for my first contact on the radio which was in Idaho falls, Idaho ( KA7PUN) . I remember how nervous I was and shaking lol. Mr. Greene taught me the love for Morse code . Few years back we got to talk by way of radio in code and I had a blast . Guys I teach today I teach them the way he taught me . He knew how to just make it stick in your head . I'm sure going to miss him as well as my Morse code students will . He was a good man . 73's Mr. Greene ,thank you for everything you taught me . For the last time , W0GVT this is NC5EE

We loved Bill! Met him when I purchased my home on Doubleheader Mountain in 1993. He sure loved his Ham radios and had more radios than anyone I'd ever met in my entire life. He spoke highly of all of his years teaching so many different students and he and my husband hit it off immediately. I also knew his wife Lee from living up here on Doubleheader. We were Facebook friends and email friends after he moved down to Lakewood and we stayed in touch. I am so very sorry I did not know that he had passed away and I'm sure his family would not have known to tell me. I'm very sad and we will miss him. We even picked him up at his home in Lakewood a few times and went out to dinner together. I had not heard from him in a while and now I know why. God bless you Bill. May you rest in peace and we are sure going to miss you. <3
