Bill was a rock and a steadfast member of our Class of 1960. A class secretary for several years, and always a great supporter of all things CRMS. I will greatly miss his gentle humor, his insights, and strength. I hope he is off scaling yet another 14-er in the sky, and gliding down a pristine slope of freshly-fallen snow. We will all miss him and remember that he was a friend to so many.

My deep and sincere sympathy and condolences go out to Lorna, Anna and John, and their family. I will miss Bill. He was a man of deep and quiet grace, a world traveler, lover of the mountains and outdoors and had a twinkle in his eye and nice smile. I will make a charitable donation in his name. God bless.

Bill was one of my best friends at CRMS. After graduation we worked two summers together on the Perry Ranch in Carbondale. I connected with him again in 1968 and at several CRMS reunions. He was very kind and compassionate. He was someone I could count on for sympathy and help. I regret that I never made it to his cabin despite numerous invitations. He was a gentleman in the true sense of the word, gentle and manly. A tree would be a good memorial for him, tall and reliable, blessing others with its shade. He will remain that way in my heart.
Since I am not in Colorado, I will donate in his memory to the Roleen Stricker Memorial Scholarship Fund at CRMS, a fund he supported with his usual generosity.
