PADE, WILLIAM MICHAEL William Michael Pade, born in Denver to Anne and Maurice Pade, died at home June 3, 2011 from complications of bone cancer. He graduated from Holy Family, the University of Colorado, Boulder, and Denver University Law School. Bill concluded a long and successful practice during which he served as one time president of the Denver Bar Association. He then co-founded the Anasazi Archaeological Research Foundation, served on its board, traveled, wrote books and collected. First and foremost he was father of daughters Alyson and Jennifer. He was a devoted son. He is survived by wife Linda, grandson Trevor, sister Patricia Krieg, sister-in-law Nancy Pade and beloved nieces Sharon and Terri, and great nieces Sarah and Jessica. A traveler, Mensan, member of NAACP, amateur archaeologist, pilot, sky diver, marksman, scuba diver, game fisherman, author, collector and gambler, his adult love of the majesty of the law was eclipsed only by his love of travel gained during extensive trips to six continents. He was, additionally, a lover of music, architecture, the visual and cinematic arts, and politics. He encouraged all to learn, participate fearlessly in life and to fully enjoy its many gifts. This intelligent, witty and loving person was much loved and will be acutely missed. Family, friends and clients are encouraged to help us acknowledge his death and celebrate his life on September 26 at the Pavilion in Cheesman Park. Details: 303-722-8306. Condolences may be sent to 1587 S. Ogden, Denver CO 80210.

To The Bill Pade Family,
Although I lost contact with Bill after graduating from Holy Family High School in 1956, I have fond memories that we shared during those years. I remember Bill practicing and playing football over the years. We always practiced at Rocky Mountain Lake Baseball Park with those painful spurs attached to our practice uniforms every time we went to the ground. Looking back years later those were really fun days. I remember his black Ford with the flat head engine that he loved. It was nice that I shared in Bill's life and I am saddened by your loss.
