Alice Pratt Obituary
1937 – 2025
- Alice passed away on September 12, 2025 at Riverway Assisted Living in South Jordan. She was born on May 5, 1937 in Murray, Utah to William (Bill) Henry Ohlwiler and Pearl Vivian Stone.
She was actively involved with the Festival of Trees and the Utah Rose Society for many years. She also served in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in the Addiction Recovery Mission and the Church Office Mission. Her hobbies included gardening, skiing, and golf. Her favorite places included Disneyland, Bear Lake, Jackson Hole, and the Mountains.
Alice is survived by her husband of 38 years, Paul Pratt. She is the mother to Kyle, DeEtte, Matt, Scott, Ruthann, John, and Ken. She also had love for and was loved by children in law, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.
Her motherly affections also extended to Michael, Steve, Wendy, the Sandy Front Porch Group, and the High School Club Group.
Please join us celebrating her life on Wednesday, September 17, 2025 at Jenkins-Soffe Funeral Homes & Cremation Center at 1007 W. South Jordan Parkway, South Jordan, Utah 84095. The viewing will be from 9-10:30am and the funeral service will be at 11am. Online condolences may be shared at www.jenkins-soffe.com.

I have known Alice for a good 50 years! She was a weekly client of mine every single week. She was so happy, sweet and cheerful! She always looked like she stepped out of a fashion magazine!
I loved hearing what she was making for the festival of trees! She was so talented!
I´ve never known anyone who planted more flowers than Alice! And every time l see a penguin l think of her.
Paul and Alice were the perfect couple together! Paul is an amazing person! The way he would decorate Alice´s table at Riverway and make everything so lovely for her

Paul, when we first met Alice and then the few times we came to Utah to visit, we always felt welcomed and appreciated by both of you. Alice was like a ray of sunshine - bright, warm, comforting. Our conversations with you and Alice were fun, informative, and uplifting. We will miss her comfort and charm. We will, however, continue to hold you to those same high standards, brother. Be well at this sad time, and we'll see you soon.

I was touched when I heard about Alice´s death. Of course these things awaken memories, and gratitude for the good, really good people we share life with. I know the mix of emotions experienced at these times - bitter and sweet. Thank you Pratt Family for your part in my life. I´ll be thinking of you Wednesday.

Alice was a gem, I considered myself blessed to have met her and offer her care. She was so sweet and I´d tell her every time we were facing the mirror how beautiful she was.
