Amy Jensen Obituary

1969 ~ 2011
Our beloved wife, mother and friend Amy Fraughton Jensen (42) passed away in Provo, Utah from complications of a brain tumor on Tuesday, October 11, 2011, to join her daughter Samantha in Heaven. Born in Salt Lake City, Utah on January 10, 1969, to Edward J. and Ann Fraughton, Amy grew up in South Jordan, Utah, graduated from Bingham High School, excelled in gymnastics and received a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from the University of Utah. Amy married the love of her life Nathan Jensen August 1st 1996. Amy had a very gentle, nurturing personality, lifting and helping others whenever she could, leaving a trail of love wherever she went. She had a unique gift of making people feel special and readily accepted everyone into her sphere of friends. She provided loving care for Jenny, a handicapped foster child and many other special needs young adults. Her greatest love was her family and she made every day with them count. Blaine and Brittney could always rely on their mother's support. She and Spencer enjoyed fostering homeless kittens and finding them new homes. She loved learning, doing and creating. Artistically she found her passion as a talented photographer with Adam serving as her assistant. Seeing the world through her lens, she often donated her time to bless others with her unique talent and taught 4-H photography classes. Known as the "neighborhood Mom" to all of her children's friends, her home was the place to be! Amy is preceded in death by her daughter Samantha, and survived by her husband Nathan Jensen, children Blaine (Jill), Brittney (Andy Dame), Adam and Spencer, parents Edward J. and Ann Fraughton of South Jordan, Utah and siblings Kristi (Jeff Chapman) of Rexburg, Idaho, Ted (Tina), Michael (Lisa). She is loved dearly and will be missed by all.
Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, October 15, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. at the Spanish Fork 14th Ward Chapel, 1750 East 750 South, Spanish Fork, Utah. Nathan and Family,

I was so saddened to hear of the sudden passing of Amy. I still remember when you came to my parent's home and announced your engagement so many years ago. I was so happy for you. I didn't know Amy well, but it sounds like she was an incredibly self-less and kind wife, mother, friend and neighbor. I am deeply praying that you will be comforted at this time and that you will feel the Lord's sustaining power to uphold you and bring you peace through this great trial. All my love,

Karen Jensen Strong

Nathan: Carlie and I were saddened to learn of Amy's passing. She was the light of your life, as well as to many others. She is now joyously reunited with her beloved Samantha. Though temporarily out of your sight she nevertheless still lives and awaits the time you will be physically together forever, never to be separated again. May that fact give you peace and comfort. We rejoice in knowing that she completed her earthly mission with honor and is at rest with her Eternal Father. You and your children are in our thoughts and prayers.
