Bradley Bishop Obituary

Bradley Grant Bishop

July 21, 1987 to August 14, 2021

From the beginning, Bradley was an incredibly generous and loving soul. As a child he shared his toys freely and exhibited no possessiveness of his belongings. His selflessness continued into adulthood. He was always enthusiastically giving of his time, energy, and possessions.

Words cannot capture the experience of being Bradley's friend. In conversation, he was an attentive and detailed listener. Brad would hold your gaze, and you felt completely seen and heard in his presence. His desire to serve and assist those he loved was bottomless. He was always the first to volunteer his time and attention. Rarely are people fortunate enough to have a friend like him. The immensity of his love for his family and friends is still palpable.

Brad loved the outdoors; the geology of Utah never ceased to amaze him. Driving through southern Utah with Brad was hazardous, he would frequently hit the rumble strips while staring out the window at the landscape. Brad spent considerable time outside running, skiing, rock climbing, and mountain biking. He was happiest in wide open spaces; he particularly loved the desert.

Brad knew how to live. He gave himself completely to each moment and experience. He loved music, and was frequently sharing his favorite songs with family and friends. He especially loved sharing music as a DJ. Brad had a way of getting the dance floor moving; many beautiful memories were created with his sets as the soundtrack.

Brad was also endlessly curious. He constantly explored the world through books, podcasts, and his own experience. He particularly loved meeting and learning about new people.

Brad's presence and smile were infectious. He is sorely missed by those who loved him. He is remembered by his wife Kyli, his brothers Joseph, Derron (Christin), Vance (Nicole), Nathan (Alice), Justin (Katie), Matthew, and his father, Gary and by Kyli's parents, Matt and Debbie McKay, their children and many other dear friends and relatives.

A life celebration for Bradley will be held at The Bright Building (25 W 400 S Provo, UT 84601) on Sunday, August 29th at 3:00 PM. Visitations will begin at 2:00 PM.

What a beautiful obituary, it has provided us more insight to his well-loved life. Brad was so easy-going to work with and always eager to learn new things that would help him do the best job possible. Did he really like my jokes? I don't know, because the Brad-chuckle was always so kind and generous. He had a quiet strength and his presence is sorely missed.
Deepest sympathies to his friends and family.

Deepest condolences to Brad's family for his loss. He was a wonderful, bright addition to our work family, always happy to help, listen, and laugh. I will miss talking random music artists and hearing about his weekend adventures. May he be climbing the greatest rock wall imaginable.

Brad´s will for adventure never ceased to amaze me. Between his trail running and rock climbing, Brad had exciting stories. Brad spoke so sweetly of his wife Kylee, often times describing her to resemble Mandy Moore. Brad was a genuine person, always having time for others. Brad will be greatly missed.

Brad was genuinely loved by all in the Rio Tinto / Kennecott family. He never stopped smiling and always had time to talk or to listen. He was smart, diligent, but above all a nice person! He will be missed.
