CARLA PEED Obituary

Carla V. Means Peed 1919 ~ 2010 Our loving wife, mother, and grandmother, Carla Velma Means Peed, 91, passed away Oct. 25, 2010 of natural causes.She was born May 4, 1919 in Kelsey, Texas, the seventh of eleven children born to Joseph Lafayette and Flora May Amonette Means. Married Harrison M. Peed on July 8, 1948 in Salt Lake City. Served in the Womens Army Air Corps during World War II; was a bookkeeper for the Cannon Pappanicholas Construction Co. for more than 20 years. She loved to go camping and fishing with her husband, and enjoyed playing the piano, reading, and sewing. Carla and dad raised three children, Harrison Peed, Jr., Carolyn Peed, and Gary (Louise) Reed. She is also survived by seven grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild; brother, Bill Means, and numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be Friday, Oct. 29, 2010 at 11 a.m. in the Larkin Sunset Gardens Mortuary Chapel, 1950 E. 10600 So., Sandy, where a viewing will be held Friday two hours prior to the service.
