I was very sorry to hear of the loss of a great nurse. Cass was compassionate nurse toward the veterans she served. She was an unyielding advocate for her patient’s care and needs. That is what I will always remember and respect her for. Cass will be deeply missed here at the VA in Salt Lake City.

My heart sank to my feet when I heard the news about Cass. I worked with Cass at the VA Hospital for about five years. What a great person, with a huge heart, and a big smile. I will always remember her call for our assistance, "Hey PT".
My condolences to the family, friends, co-workers and the many, many people who's life she has touched.

To Cassandra's family I send my condolence. I know many people at the VFW post 4355, though I moved to Montana ten years ago, I still drop in to share time with my old friends. I may have not know all their names but I knew all the names they were lovingly called. My sister Joanne and brother Ben both are RN's at the VA hospital in Salt Lake and probably worked with Cassandra but I'm not sure. My prayers are with Cassandra and she is knowing we are all here in prayer as sits with or Father in Heaven awating for the rest of us to return home as well.
May the peace of our Lord be with you all.

Cass will be missed and a void placed in our lives. She loved the veterans that she was charged in helping and they loved her. They were her "guys". She took a very personal view on helping many of them. She was a wonderful person, great nurse, and a dear friend.

Mrs. Beachum and Family: The extremely tragic news of Cass’s uncalled-for death is something that Sanford and I can hardly believe. She was loved by all who knew her, and we know what a bitter loss you and your family have suffered. Everyone who knew her at all will have lost a real friend, and for each of you in the family she has left a place that can never be filled. It was a pleasure and privilege to have known her and our deepest sympathy is with you in your great loss. If there is anything we can do, do not hesitate to let us know [801-964-8006].
Sincerely,
The Mower Family

She was a good friend to my mother-in-law, Dolly, who lived across the street from Cassandra. When Dolly passed away a few years ago, Cassandra offered her help to the family without hesitation. She was a wonderful person with a complicated life. She will not be forgotten.

Six years I knew you two, and thought it would last forever. Steve always bragged about you, how glad he was you came into his life, and how good you were for him. What led to this terrible and tragic end I don't think we'll ever know, but you were loved by us all, and we'll always carry fond memories of you in our hearts.
