I just barely stumbled across this obituary and am very sad that I didn't hear this sooner. My husband and I have been Brother Kartchner's hometeachers for the past several months. I am sad for us because we will miss all that HE taught US at our visits, but am so happy that he is reunited with his dear, sweet wife. I would always tell Bro. Kartchner that 1) He gave us more than we ever gave him at our visits and 2) That I hoped my husband would talk as lovingly and tenderly as he did about his wife.
He was a great example to us.

Kartchner Family,
We are sorry that we could not attend the services. We have missed your mom and dad living in Murray. They were "Grandma and Grandpa K" to our kids for the last thirty years. We always felt so welcome into their lives. They were people of a rare kind that doesn't exist nowadays. I am so glad that I have the beautiful red quilt that Merle made to remember them. Clint & Merke always had time to spend with you and we had so many good times together.
Our love and sympathy to the family. Your parents couldn't say enough good things abot each of you.
Our love and prayers,
Charles & Judy Mayne

Memories of an eagle scout review and the kind direction he gave a young catholic boy in a mormon troop. He was there for all of us 3 brothers as wke e achieved the rank of eagle scout. And he made us feel equal, in spite of our difference in beliefs. That was his gift, to make everyone feel special and not judge anyone.

The loss of a parent is one of life's hard things and it hurts.
Clint was always jolly and fun to be around. I got to know him while working at Rainbow floral.
My sympathy and love goes out to all of his family and friends.

We come into contact with and get to know hundreds of people as employees at Legacy Retirement Residence. While all of our residents are special in their own way, Clint was just extra special. In the nearly six years that I've known him, never one time did I hear him complain. Never once did he fail to stop and say hello and stay until he got a laugh out of me and anyone else nearby. Never once did I hear him utter a mean word about anything or anyone. Always, always, he made my day. He stands out among the masses as a true humanitarian, good Samaritan and genuinely nice man. He will be missed. Robyn

Dear Family,
Sorry to read about Clint. He was one of those people that you can't help but like.
I was involved with him and Merle through scouting in the old Burton Ward before they built I-80.
I remember enjoying my experience in their home each week.
I remember his soft easy way. He was one of those people that left a good friendly impression on me.
I know you all must love him greatly. Remember him by the way you live your lives, following his example, and serving others.
My heart is happy for the little time that he influenced me as a young boy.
May you all live worthy to be with him again some day.
Sincerely,
David & Julie Seal

Clint was a wonderful man with such a joy about him that made everyone around him happy. I will miss our visits and his great sence of humor. He spent hundreds of hours in the service of other residents at Legacy by cutting out plastic designs for them. He was a great man and I will truly miss him. Annie
