Summers Family,

I was so sad to hear of your loss. I will always remember Pop for the love he had to share. He always made me feel so welcome to be at your house and with your family. The thing I will never forget about Pop and always try to emulate is how he always held Mom’s hand. I remember as a child thinking how neat it was that even as a couple who had been married for a while, they still expressed their love for each other in that simple, yet public way. It meant a lot to me. I am thinking of you during this difficult time.

Dear Summer Family,

I was so sorry to hear about the sudden loss of your father and husband. I remember POP from hanging out with Ryatt, Ray, and Russ in the Jordan Jazz Band. He always had a smile and a hug for me. I loved visiting your home. I hope your spirits are high knowing what a wonderful person Pop was and the many smiles and hugs he gave to people. My Prayers and thoughts are with all of you. Love Susan (Cartmell) Homer

Dave has been visiting our dental office for 20 plus years, helping us with our repair needs. Never did we see Dave that de didn't have a beautiful smile on his face. He was our all time favorite repair man---and you could always count on Dave to do a great job for you because he really knew his business. Dave will definitely be missed in the "Dental World"! It was a honor to know him over the years.

Words can not express the incedible warm feeling of being around Pop. With such a large family it was so amazing to me how special he made me feel. I can not ever remember a time when Pop did not give me a hug and tell me how great it was to see me. This special man has touched my heart and the lives of my entire family. Thank you Pop!

Dear Summers Family- I am so sorry to hear about the loss of Dave. I remember so many good things about Dave, as well as your whole family. When we moved to Sandy you took our family under your wing. I remember that we were newly converted and Ruthy became my best friend. We corresponded for years and I miss the old times when we would get together for family home evening and LaRae's yummy homemade chocolate cookies. Dave will be dearly missed by our family and it is a great loss to this world, but I know our Heavenly Father needed him to come home. I will always remember his warm smiles and nice hugs. I was just a little girl...but I remember it as if it were yesterday. I love you all and will never forget the light your family brought to ours.

Love,

Jenny Sanderson

Summers Family,

I have enjoyed getting to know Dave and the family over the years at the dental office (Dr. Crowther's). Dave is such a great person. He always had a smile on and something good to say. He loved to talk about his family. He was very proud of all of them. I will miss him as a patient, friend and as a very knowledgable repair man. He truely knew his stuff.

LaRae, and Summers children and grandchildren. When I received news of David's passing via telephone I was very sad knowing I had lost a very good friend. I went to school in Anaconda, Montana with Dave and we served in the Marine Corps together. SEMPER FIDELIS (always faithfull) DAVID. Dave and I kept in touch via telephone over the years and on special occasions. He always inquired as to our family and kids, and spoke fondly of his and LaRae's. We wish to express our heartfelt sorrow to LaRae and children. Try to remember the great times you spent with Dave and your father and:

A time for every purpose under Heaven. Ecclesiastes 3:1

Knowing Brother Summers was an honor. He truly had a heart of gold with enough room in it for everyone. While we were never able to attend Sunday dinner with your family, his reoccurring invitations meant more to us than you could ever know. His magnetic and genuine smile was infectious and his tender words so sweet. He will be greatly missed.

Dave and LaRae have been our guiding light over the years since first we met in February of 1980. Dave's gentle manor and his tender heart with the twinkle in his eye always made us feel loved and cared about.

We have always felt like family and deeply connected spiritually.

Being converts to the Church, Dave and LaRae gave great guidance and direction in our early years of challenge and adjustment. Dave will be deeply missed and aften thought about in our quiet moments and always in our hearts.

We love you Dave and know that you are directing and instructing God's children that have gone on before us. Please continue to watch over Jim and me!

--I miss your hugs already...

LaRae and family,

Our prayers are with your family at this difficult time. Dave was a special person to our family. He took Jim under his wings to fellowship him and be a friend, he was like a second dad to Jen and was always there to give support to the Anderson family.

Dave was a tremendous man and remember that he is with our Lord and Savior now taking his good works to do on the other side.

May God be with you until you meet again.

LaRae and family--

My fondest memories of Dave was his wonderful sense of humor and his great ability to make those of us who felt unworthy feel accepted and loved always. He touched many individuals in my extended family when he came to our home to be Santa for Christmas parties. Thank you for sharing him with us.

Dear Summers Family I want to express my love to you and my condolensces for you loss. Pop was always a second father to me and I always felt loved by him and by your entire family. It always amazed me at the amount of love Pop had to offer...there never seemed to be a lack with him or Mom. Thank you for so many childhood memories and allowing me to be part of your wonderful family. I know that one day we will see Pop again.
