- Our Dear Husband, Father, Grand Father and Great Grand Father passed away on Saturday August 30, 2025. Following years of Sickness.

Dennis was born in Shreveport, Louisiana on March 1st, 1956 to Patricia Headrick and Henry Whitten, Dennis has 3 sisters and 6 step brothers.

Dennis loved playing Football at Deerfield High School in Kansas, and when he served in the Air Force in England as well. He worked as a Dental Assistant working for a Military Dentist for 5 years, he really enjoyed his time there.

Dennis loved to run, he ran several Marathons and earned medals for each one.

Dennis was a Long Haul Trucker for several companies, for 50 years. For a while He owned his own Trucking Company, with his wife Jacklyn as a partner, until he had health issues. Dennis Loved Seeing the Country as he Trucked all over the United States and Canada.

Grandpa Dennis Loved his Family, Especially his children and Grandchildren –Nacona Holmes (Jeremy) Michaela Whitten, Mark Payne, Chris Payne (Melissa) Jamie Christensen, (Megan Payne- in heaven) Grandchildren-14 and 2 Great Grand Children.

Dennis was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, Dennis Loved going to church, and would try to Always attend even though he was out of town so much.

Dennis was Married and Sealed to Jacklyn Wilcox on January 9, 2002 in the Ogden LDS Temple. Dennis had several callings and a strong Testimony of our Savior Jesus Christ.

Your Family will miss you, knowing you are in the Loving Arms of our Heavenly Parents will give us Peace, We Love you, Until we meet again.

A Funeral service will be held on September 8th, 2025 at 11:00 with the Viewing at 10:00, at the Brigham City 6th Ward 105 Fishburn Drive Brigham City, Utah 84302. Burial will be in Paris, Idaho
