Dianna Cragun Obituary
December 31, 1942 - October 10, 2024
Sandy, Utah - Dianna Elma Cragun passed away peacefully at home on October 10, 2024. She was 81 years old. She was born in Salt Lake City, Utah on December 31, 1942, to Clifford and Elma Johnson.
She was sealed to Wallace (Wally) Cragun on August 21, 1964, in the Salt Lake Temple, and they just recently celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary. Together they raised 4 children.
She grew up in Sugar House in Salt Lake City and raised her family in Holladay, Utah. Her husband and family were the love of her life. Everything she did was for them. She loved cooking for them and getting together for family parties and holidays. She especially loved reunions that she planned for her family. She also loved to visit with her friends and neighbors.
She was a lifelong member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and had a strong testimony of the Savior Jesus Christ. She served in many callings and served a two-year mission to the Salt Lake Inner City with her husband.
We would like to thank Inspiration Home Health & Hospice for their loving care of Dianna for over a year as she struggled with dementia, especially aides Raquilyn (Rocky), Jenny, Odaliz, and nurse Jenna. We would also like to thank the Danville Support Services aides for their loving care, especially Yanneth and Carmen. We appreciate each of you for your gentleness and kindness to Dianna.
Dianna is survived by her husband Wally and her children Suzanne (Corby) Burkinshaw, Brett (Amy) Cragun, Scott (Ann) Cragun, Kimberly (Brent) Wainwright and her grandchildren: Spencer (Ashley) Burkinshaw, Taylor (Amy) Burkinshaw, Abby Burkinshaw, Matthew (Savannah) Cragun, Kate (Justin) Peeples, Tyler Cragun, Zach (Abbey) Wainwright, Melissa (Luca) Macedo, Hailey (Ruben) Leszynski, Emily Cragun, Nathan Cragun. She also is survived by 11 great-grandchildren with two more on the way, her brother Ron (Julie) Johnson, sister in-law Celestia Cragun, and brother in-law Keith (Kriss) Cragun.
A viewing will be held Monday October 14th from 6:00 to 8:00PM at the Fairoaks Ward, 586 East 8400 South, Sandy, Utah. The funeral will be held at 11:00AM on Tuesday, October 15th at the Fairoaks Ward, 586 East 8400 South, with a viewing beforehand from 10:00 to 10:45AM. Internment at Wasatch Lawn Memorial Park.

We have known Wally and Dianna since they were dating many years ago. A finer family one could never meet. They are kind and gracious. They live for their family which is very close and they love to be together. A hallmark of their lives is service to others. Dianna will be greatly missed, our thoughts and prayers are with Wally at this time. May he be granted peace, that peace which the Savior promises to the faithful. I (Martin) have no greater friend than Wally. I Know he will he will continue to love and bless his family in the twilight of his life, until he and Dianna are together again in a better place.
