Dolores Davis Obituary

Dolores Hartvigsen Toponce Davis, mother, grandmother, great-grand-mother, and sister died June 18, 2002 at her home in Salt lake City, Utah at age 87. Dolores was born in Downey, ID Sept 7, 1914 at their farmhouse in Cherry Creek to Luetta Brown and Neils Jacob Hartvigsen. She was the eighth child out of ten. As an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, she served in many capacities including primary teacher, visiting teacher, and ward librarian. Dolores married John A. Davis March 26, 1948 and later sealed that marriage in the Salt lake LDS Temple in 1979. Dolores is survived by her three children, Clair Toponce, Lander, WY, Dixie Shore, West Valley, UT, Jackie Glasser, Conner MT; 13 grandchildren, and 18 great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by daughter, Lynnell; husband, John A. Davis; and parents. The family wishes to extend their thanks for the many kindnesses and expressions of love. Services will be Mon. June 24, 2002 11 a.m., Winder 2nd Ward, 1361 E. 4000 S. Viewing will be Sun. 6-8 p.m. Wasatch lawn Mortuary, 3401 S. Highland Dr, and one hour prior to services at the church. Interment: Downey City Cemetery, Downey, ID.
