1947 - 2015
Don Marvin Burr, 68, of Monroe and formerly of Elsinore, passed away April 1, 2015 in Richfield. He was born March 17, 1947 in Provo to George Marvin and Ila Naomi Throckmorton Burr. He married Gayle Clayburn, they later divorced. He married, Janette Slagowski, she preceded him in death.
He was raised and attended schools in Provo, served in the Army as a Military Policeman and went to Viet Nam. He was with the Provo Police Department. He then worked for the phone company. He enjoyed camping, fishing, hunting and riding atv's with family and friends
Survived by: sons: Matthew Burr, Todd Burr, Don Burr, and Devan Bosch; step-children, Brenda (Marc) Child, Daniel Topham, Glen Topham; sister, Jean (George) Loch; 15 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by: parents; step-daughter, Lorie Softeland; sisters, Lois Elies and Barbara Beveridge.
Funeral services, Monday, April 6 2015 at 12:00 Noon, Elsinore LDS Ward Chapel, 75 North Center. Viewing ward chapel on Monday from 11:00 to 11:45 a.m. Burial, Elsinore Cemetery with military rites by the Elsinore American Legion Post #75 and the Utah Honor Guard.
