Beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandma, aunt, mother-in-law, and friend. She was born in Pitkin, CO. to Pedro Lopez and Margarita Martinez, on May 4, l927. She married our father, Lee Mascarenas in Dixon, N.M. October 13, 1945 and had eight children. Mother of: Fran (Paul) Cooper, Bell (Robert) Chacon, Sara (Fred) Williams, Harold (Nancy) Mascarenas, Pauline Boren, Paul Mascarenas, Mickie (Josh) Brotherson, Richard, Bobby. Grandma of 20, great- grandma of nine which were her greatest joy. Surviving by: Alfonso (Mary) Mascarenas, Edna (Tony) Espinoza, Dila (Alfonso) Sanchez, Arturo (Theresa) Mascarenas, Ester (Nelson) Romero, Roy (Pauline) Mascarenas, all of N.M. Roger (Helen) Mascarenas, Layton, UT. Minnie Salas, Salt Lake City. Minnie, thank you for being there for Mom, she loved you very much. Special friends, Nancy Flanders and Rose and Frank Martinez. To her friends at LDS Hospital, she loved cooking rice, beans, tortillas, for the Pot Lucks. Thank you all so much. Thanks to the doctors and nurses for helping Mom. Preceded in death by: husband Lee, sons, Richard and Bobby Mascarenas. Funeral services will be held Saturday, November 16, 2002 at Lake Hills Memorial Mortuary, 10055 South State, Sandy. Family and friends may call Friday, November 15, 2002 from 6-8:00 p.m. at Deseret Memorial Mortuary, 36 East 700 South, Salt Lake City and one hour prior to services at Lake Hills Memorial Mortuary. I send my condolences to all family members and friends of Dora, she will be missed alot. I send my prayers of peace in this time of grief, may God be with you all at this time of need. She was a wonderful woman and I will never forget how kind she was to me, she always to the time to talk to me at the games we would see each other at.(Arthur and Kristal played basketball and baseball together)
