DOROTHY HUNT Obituary

Dorothy Hunt 1950 ~ 2010 Dorothy Hunt, 59, died June 10, 2010, with her family by her side at her home in Midvale, Utah. She was born July 19, 1950 in Jersey City, NJ, to Laverne Charles Hunt and Ethel (Cox) Hunt. She moved to Salt Lake City in 1980, where she raised her children. She attended Salt Lake Community College, graduating in 1990 with a degree in Office Management. Dorothy aspired to seek God in many ways. Her passion was realized through her work with genealogy, and her discoveries and documentation in this field were unsurpassed. She was a member of the Catholic Church, and loved music, art, and helping others in their times of need. She is survived by her sister, Eleanor Hunt, and children, Lucas, Pamela and Jordan Ruiz. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday June 15, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. at the Cathedral of the Madeleine 309 East South Temple. Committal Mt. Calvary Cemetery. 4th Ave. & T Street. Directors. Your mom was a beautiful person, and friend to me. I loved her, and I am sure we will all be with her again one future day. I first met her back in NJ in the 70’s! She beat us to the west, but came to visit us after we moved to Arizona! We had a few occasions to be together here in Utah, but time separated us, but my memories, as yours- will always be with me. I am so sorry for your loss. It was wonderful to meet you each today after the funeral, and see how beautiful you are, and I always know you were the joy of your mother’s life! It was wonderful to see your dad again too after so many years, and has caused me to think much upon the brevity of this life, and how quickly time passes by. I hope you will take a moment to email me; I would like to share a couple stories with each of you about your beautiful mother. Our thoughts and prayers are with you during this difficult time, and know you will be with your mother in the eternities.
