Dear Hadfield Family,
I want to express my most sincere condolences at this time of loss. I've known Elden my whole life. He was one of those people that could make you feel important on those days when you are trying to figure out why things happen the way they do.
I remember when he took me on a Father & Sons outing when I was younger. I was part of their family. Although my own Father had just past away, He didn't want me to feel left out of anything.
Know that he has went to be with his beautiful Sarah. You can be assured that he will always be with you in your thoughts & Memories.
Your Friend Always,
Owen Smoot

It has been a special pleasure to know Elden for many years now as he lived in the Avenues and most recently in the Ensign 1st Ward. His comments in classes and his warm greetings were always welcome. I can never forget his answer to "How are you?" Which was "Not all bad." My condolences to the family. May the Lord's blessings be with you at this time of separation.

I am so greatful that Uncle Elden was a part of my life. I knew he cared for me by the ways I was treated. I also knew he loved my father because of the wonderful experiences he told me that he and my father had. I will never forget the blessing he gave my daughter, Meri, after the bus accident. He bore testimony to me that he knew she would live. Which she did and is the mother of 4. Uncle Elden and Aunt Sarah always welcomed me into their home to spend the night or as long as I needed. I love them so much as well as their family. My love and wishes go to Bill, Susan, Cindy, Nancy and their families. Thank you for bringing Uncle Elden to my home for the Hadfield Family Reunion. Having him here was so special to me. Love and the best of everything, Norma Jean

My Uncle Elden was classy, handsome, funny, spiritual and very cool. What an amazing and wonderful life he lived and what a legacy he has left behind. My love to Susan, Bill, Cindy and Nancy and families. With love, Rebecca
