Eric Fredrickson Obituary
1950 ~ 2023
Our beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend passed away peacefully on February 23, 2023 at IMC.
Eric was born on August 17, 1950 to Paul Eugene Fredrickson and Margaret Frances (Reynolds) Fredrickson. He graduated from Murray High School and went on to earn both a bachelor's degree in engineering and an MBA from the University of Utah. Eric married his caring wife, Sherry Ann Winterholler, on March 7, 1978 in the Salt Lake Temple. They were married for 44 years.
Eric loved God, helping others, spending time with his family, the Utah Jazz, U of U football, and watching and feeding his backyard birds.
He is preceded in death by his parents and his brother David. He is survived by his sister B Avalon; his wife Sherry; his daughter Rachel Steed and her children Amelia, Eliza, and Cormac; and his son Jared (Casio) and their children Allison and Oliver.
Funeral services will be held on March 4, 2023 at the LDS Stake Center on 4366 S 1500 E at 11:00 AM. Viewings will be on Friday, March 3 from 6:00-8:00 PM and Saturday from 9:30-10:30 prior to the funeral. Eric will be interred at a private graveside service at Elysian Burial Gardens.

It just seems like last year we were playing basketball in the alumni tournament. We had some great times and Eric was solid. This came as a shock and a wake up call. Life is short. Eric was a good friend. He was respected by all of us. I am so sorry for your loss

Eric Fredrickson was and always will be a great friend and example to follow in his life and church service to all of us.
He is a fascinating teacher and super supportive companion in the 30 years that we lived next to him in the 10th ward.
We will miss having you around Eric.
