To the Eva Coombs Whitaker Family,

On behalf of my father, Emery Snow, your mother's first cousin I wanted to give you our condolences on the passing of your mother.

My father has many stories regarding your mother and I would love to share them with you via e-mail. He told me how your mother was one of the best students in Wayne County. He also told me how hard working and caring she was. A typical relative of mine. As my father and a few of the remaining first cousins would say to be of our clan, you will not be lazy. I am sure your mother was not as well. May the Lord keep you and bless you during this time.

I am so sorry for the loss of your dear sweet Mother. May you find comfort in the thought of the happy reunion of your Mother and Father and Carol and other relatives. I pray the Holy Ghost will bring you peace and comfort at this time. Your Mother was a wonderful example of an elect lady.

All my memories of the Coombs aunts and uncles and cousins are too long ago, but the impressions remain strong. I remember Uncle Gene and Aunt Eva with their wonderful girls when we use to go to Boulder regularly. The Whitakers always seemed to be the picture and movie takers.
At any rate we send our love and prayers. May Heaven's sweet peace be your constant companion.

To me Eva is likened to the beautiful fall colors that surround us at this time of the year. She spread color and light around her. And like the autumn leaves, that leave a message of renewal when spring comes, she will go on to a renewal of health and service in another "Springtime".

My first memory of this family was in Seattle Tenth Ward when I was a lad and we were graced with the presence of " Elder Coombs from Boulder, Utah" . Eva left a pronounced effect on others as evidenced by Marcus Nash of the Seventy paying tribute to his former Primary teacher at a Stake Conference over forty years after her last teaching to him. Eva was a support and anchor to her husband when he was a Bishop and she was well grounded in gospels principles and not easily duped by the mores and trends of the world. Music was a tool in teaching by the Spirit. She is now reunited with her husband, daughter , others and meeting ancestors and other pioneers in her heritage .

We will miss our dear sister Eva, yet we know she is happy in the company of her dear family and friends on the other side. She was a loving friend as well as a dear sister. May Heaven bless all of you with the comfort and peace you desire.

We are so sorry to hear of the passing of your beloved mother, grandmother and great mother. What an amazing reunion she must be having with Gene, Carol and other family members! Eva richly blessed our family when we lived in the Grass Valley Ward for 16 years. She always made us feel right at home and was an inspiration to all. She is very proud of all of you and the great lives you are leading. She would proudly show us the latest pictures of her family on the wall by her front door. You all brought her such great joy and happiness!

Words can't express what a wonderful woman my Grandma Eva was. She was also so kind, loving, patient, and fun. She was always so happy to see me and rarely did you find her not with a smile on her face. I loved how she would light up seeing her great-grandkids. I loved every moment I had with her and miss her tremendously.
