Everett Hullinger Obituary

Everett PaulHullinger Together Again  ST. GEORGE, UT - Everett Paul Hullinger rejoined his beloved wife, Marjorie, on the morning of January 7, 2005. Paul was born on October 18, 1928 in Vernal, Utah to Harold and Jennie Hullinger. He was the second of six children. He married Marjorie May Tayler on June 10, 1953 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple.  Paul always loved the outdoors and enjoyed hunting, fishing and camping. Before he could drive, Paul learned how to fly. He flew faster than the speed of sound and high enough to see the curvature of the earth. He served an LDS mission to the Eastern States Mission and graduated from the University of Utah.  Paul had many interesting jobs in his life. He worked in the oil fields, served in the 1st Guided Missile Squadron of the Air Force, was a test pilot for Boeing and worked in the defense industry at Sperry and Hercules. He worked at the Jet Propulsion Laboratory in Pasadena where he was involved with the Surveyor and Apollo projects and was also employed as Assistant Vice President for Research and head of the Foundation at Utah State University. Together with his wife Marge, he owned a trucking company. His work also included working for several years in Saudi Arabia and Alaska. He once said that the most important people in his life were his wife, children and grandchildren. He is survived by three daughters, Cynthia (Lynn) Burgess, Susanne Hullinger and Karen Butler; one son, Warren (Michele); and 11 grand- children.  We will miss you Dad.  Memorial services will be held Tuesday, January 11, 2005, 11 a.m., LDS Chapel, 650 E. Telegraph, Washington, UT. Arrangements under the direction of Metcalf Mortuary (435) 673-4221. Condolences may be sent through the Metcalf website at www.metcalfmortuary.com.
