We go back many years. Jack came to Alaska in 1957 where he met Bob. I had know him at BYU earlier. Bob pushed that wheelchair many miles, up mountains and down not only in Alaska but also in Utah. We had many great parties at Jacks' house for which we fixed countless numbers of tacos. We were happy when he married Pat as she has been a wonderful wife to him and carried a big load with a cheerful face. Bob had been looking for his phone number to call him when I read of his death online. Happy for Jack to now be able to walk and be with other friends and loved ones, but he will be missed here. Jack, thanks for the memories!

Jack and Pat....two people who are meant to be "Forever."..the Whipples' and Nelsons' go back to school in So. Calif. when Jack had the Football accident that almost took his life....he had many blessings and great faith....the wheelchair never held him back...when his friends went camping, fishing, or deer hunting they had to push Jack uphill to just the right spot for him to get the biggest deer....they were too exhausted to shoot straight....Pat was as strong as the men and Jack knew he had married the right girl and he has loved her so much...his mother Ruth was a "mother" to many, providing beds and food for everyone....she made venison taste like roast beef....Jack is now watching over his loved ones and want you all to live a happy and productive life until you are with him again...now he is busy with relatives and friends, free of all pain and restraints....love to you all, Cale Whipple's widow, Marilyn D. W.
