I worked for and with Dr Janata @ the U of Utah in the late 80´s. As her research tech I helped during one of her lab moves. I lost track of Jarmilla over the years but I have fond memories of her, a generous and energetic person she was wonderful to work with. I had hoped to contact her again but alas I am over 4 years to late.

I was a department colleague of Jarmila's and she was a wonderful person. She was very sharp scientifically but what came across at all times was her heartwarming presence. She was always kind, quick to smile and spotlighted others instead of herself. I hope her family rests peacefully knowing that Jarmila lived an incredibly rich and accomplished life. God bless her family as they navigate the loss in their lives. I was proud to know her.
