Jason Hollingsworth Obituary
After a sudden illness, Jason Dean Hollingsworth - known to the many who loved him as "J" - passed away on February 7, 2014.
J was born in Murray, UT and lived most of his life there and in Sandy, UT. He graduated from Jordan High School in 2001. He worked most of his life as a tile setter, a trade at which he excelled. In the last year of his life, he was pleased to get off his knees and work as a carpenter for Brinton Homes.
J's true gift, though, was his ability to bring people together. His generosity and exuberant, fun-loving personality drew many people to him. He had a knack for matching people up, creating countless lifelong friendships for himself and others. All of this lives on in his young daughter, TaylorAnn. They were the apples of each other's eyes.
J is survived by his loving wife RoseAnn, children: Chance Roberston, Logan Roberston, TaylorAnn Hollingsworth, family friend Craig Gordon, mother Patricia, siblings Staci and Russ Thacker, Loren and Kristin Hollingsworth, Wesly Hollingsworth, numerous nieces and nephews and scores of friends. He was preceded in death by his father Richard Hollingsworth and brother Aaron Hollingsworth.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, February 13 at 11:30 a.m. at Jenkins Soffe Mortuary, 4760 S. State Street, Murray, UT. A viewing will be held there on Wednesday, February 12 from 6-8:00 p.m. and again at 10 a.m. on the morning of the service. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations through Wells Fargo Bank. Pat - You may have wondered why Richard and I did not attend Jason's funeral. It was because we were serving a mission in Ireland at the time. I guess I didn't actually remember that it was only this past year when he died. I'm truly so sorry for this tremendous loss. I'm utterly amazed at your strength in enduring all that you have. "J" just did a beautiful job for us on our bathroom tile. He was proud of his work and we will always remember him and the wonderful man he was. He talked about his little girl and you could tell how much he loved her by the way his face lit up when he talked about her. We are so sad to hear of "J 's" passing and send prayers and warm wishes to his family.

My husband Eric worked with J for the last several months. J also did some tile work in our home last October. I could see what a kind person he was from the short time I met him. He brought Taylor to our home to seal our tile and I could see how much he loved her and what sweet dad he was. He was such a nice guy and I am grateful that I was able to meet him. He has touched our hearts this last week and we are praying for your family. We are so sorry for your loss and we will continue to have your family in our prayers.
