My heart goes out to Jay's family and friends. I used to babysit for Jay & Pat, a long long time ago. I remember both of them being such wonderful parents and of course, I loved the kids. It's really hard losing a parent but it does get better. Everyone told me that a year ago and I never thought it would, but it really does! I'm sorry I can't be there today to help celebrate his life.

Dear family, so sorry for your loss. He loved you all and spoke of you and your goings on to me when I could get ahold of him. Gotta love the man, quintessential gentelman driver, sweet heart of a biker, and a great friend to tell you how it is. I will miss you Jay.

Dear Tiff and family,
Boy, I never thought of this day coming when I would be writing in a guest book for my friend "Trucker Jay". He was truly a good friend to me through all the years I have known him and ridden with him. Always a "GENTLE MAN". Never a harsh word from him about anyone.I, for one will miss him dearly. My heartfelt sympathies to you and yours. Love, Mary WAldroup

Our hearts go out to Jay's Family and friends. One thing is for sure he went the way he wanted to, riding his bike. As a friend and next door neighbor, he shared a many stories about his love for family, hauling what most truckers don't have the nerve for and the road trips on his bike with his best buddies.
His patience, kindness and sense of humor will be truly missed. I know he would want us to celebrate his life's memory.
It's your turn to leave the front porch light on for me buddy.

Tiffany and Jason,
I'm so sorry to hear of the loss of your dad. It hurts so bad when we loose our parents, it's the end of an era. No more memories to make, no more fun times with them. With time it gets easier, but you'll always miss him. You have my deepest sympathy and you remain in my thoughts.
Love you,
Aunt Jackie

August 21, 2012

Please accept our heartfelt condolences on the loss of Jay. I had the pleasure of working with Jay as a pilot car driver and escorting him on many trips through Missouri, Arkansas and Texas. He was a fine man to work for. He visited my wife and me last Memorial weekend in Southeast Missouri. We enjoyed Jay's company along with some fine BBQ and cold beverages. Jay was always a gentleman. I'm going to miss working with him. I have found some comfort in knowing he died while doing something he loved.
With great sympathy to Jay's family and loving memories of him,

Dad I love you so much, oh, how I miss you. My heart aches for one more hug. I know I'll see you again it just feels to long.
I imagine your first meal with grandma and grandpa was a joyous one. A homemade dinner of Lamb with mint jelly mashed potatoes and gravy, and of coarse grandma made her hot rolls with lots of butter. I've lost one of my earthly soul mates and in return gained a guardian angel. I'll keep an eye on Brent and Dave they will forever be a part of our family.
Keep on riding with the wind in your hair and don't forget to go past mile maker 319.5 on US93 the other side of the road is beautiful. I love you. Thank you for being you that's what made you the best dad. Love Tiffer

My best wishes go out to Jay's family. I knew Jay when he lived next door to me in Idaho Falls, Idaho (on Royal Avenue). Patricia and Jay were just married and she delivered their first child when I knew him.

I worked for E. Jay Mason in his butcher shop on Yellowstone Highway, just behind their home (which was later moved). Edgar was called "Jay." Jolene Mason married and was living near by in the Idaho Falls 14th Ward.

I often thought about Jay and his parents after my family moved to California in 1960.
