Jeanette Campbell Obituary
1940 - 2024
- Jeanette Kunz Campbell, 84, peacefully returned home to her Heavenly Father on January 28, 2024, in Murray, Utah from complications of ovarian cancer. She was born January 20, 1940, in Payson, Utah to Ivan Dustin Kunz and Wilma Gibson. She was the oldest of eight children. She grew up in Sandy, Utah and graduated from Jordan High School and attended Utah Technical College.
She met Ronald Maxwell Campbell in Sandy, Utah. They were married August 15, 1957, and later sealed in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. They started their life together in Mountain Home, Utah. Moved to Murray, Utah, where she lived the remainder of her life. She worked in many administrative positions throughout her career.
She was a devoted member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, where she served faithfully in many callings. She had a strong testimony of Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ. She was a compassionate, kind and loving individual. She loved music, reading, writing, doing genealogy, being of service to others and spending time with her immediate and extended family members and little dog Charly.
She remained in her home, under the loving care of her four daughters during the time she battled cancer.
She is survived by her four daughters, Tamera (Corey) Johnson, Sandra (Leonard) Hansen, Barbara Campbell (Kristie Jensen) and Marsha Campbell, 10 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren and six siblings.
She was preceded in death by her husband Ronald, parents, and brother Jimmy.
A viewing will be held Thursday, February 8, 2024, from 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM at Jenkins-Soffe Mortuary, 4760 South State Street, Murray, Utah.
Funeral services will be held Friday, February 9, 2024, at 11:00 AM, with viewing from 10:00 AM – 10:45 AM at the Valley Park Ward chapel, 5750 South Nena Way, Murray, Utah. Internment at Murray City Cemetery.
The family would like to thank Valeo Hospice and nurse, Kendee Kreider, for their loving and compassionate care.

Jeannette, my dear friend, I am so sorry that you were called home sooner than expected! I hope you didn't have to suffer, sweetheart. Since I found out about your passing, you and your family have been in my prayers. I know you are a beloved daughter of God, and that He welcomed you home with open arms! I will miss you, as will all of your friends! Rest in peace, dear Jeannette. Until we meet again, Much Love, Charlotte (and Art).
