JoAnn has so many wonderful memories of growing up and playing with her siblings. When the kids were old enough their job on the ranch was to bottle feed the baby lambs who's mother abandoned them. She loved feeding and spending time with the lambs. They liked to go on road trips around the U.S. But her favorite times was when it was just her and her dad taking off on adventures. JoAnn graduated from Idaho Falls High School and then moved to Seattle Washington where she lived for the next four years. Seattle had a special place in her heart. This is where she met her lifelong and cherished friends. When JoAnn turned twenty one she was called to serve a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ to Cincinnati Ohio. She loved her mission and the people she served. JoAnn then moved to Utah where she attended BYU. During the summers students from BYU could take guided trips to Europe. JoAnn loved her time in Europe and has a photo album with all her memories from Europe. While at BYU she met the love of her life Phil Hancock and were sealed in the Idaho Falls Temple on December 19th 1964. JoAnn and Phil started their lives in Sandy, Utah where they had three daughters. Maria ( Dean ) Kelly, Laura Quaney and Julena ( Andy ) Cano. JoAnn loved to do genealogy, quilting, gardening, sewing, reading, watching westerns and spend time with her family. JoAnn and Phil were blessed with granddaughters. Whitney ( Joshua ) White and Jasmine Rei. JoAnn is survived by her daughters and sons in laws, granddaughters and grand son in law. Sister and brother in law Joyce and Brad. I met JoAnn later in our lives. We worked in School lunch together. She had a wonderful work ethic. She had a wonderful sense of humor. She always had you giggling. She was a special friend. I missed her so much when she moved to Florida.
