Keith Forsyth Obituary

1940 ~ 2013
Our dear husband, dad, grandpa, great-grandpa, brother and friend, Keith O. Forsyth, returned home May 20, 2013 after a short, valiant fight with cancer.
Keith was born April 1, 1940 in Teasdale (Wayne County), Utah to Oral V. and Joy Forsyth. He married his sweetheart, Ramah Marshall on August 3, 1963 in Hunter, Utah; later solemnized in the St. George Temple.
Keith worked for Garkane Power and Murray City Power as a lineman and foreman. He served faithfully as a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, including 7 years as a temple worker in the Jordan River Temple. Keith was a "fix-it" man, who also enjoyed hunting, fishing and gardening. He loved family history and sharing his heritage with his family. He always had a story to tell about growing up in Wayne County. Dad taught us the importance of family and serving others.
Survived by his loving wife; daughters, Patti (Kent) Williams, Barbara (Jeff) Frame, Vicki (Dave) Lewis, and Sandra Forsyth; 8 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; siblings, Neil (Anna Mae), Don (Bonnie), Carolyn (Kenny) Turner, Gwen (Clare) Wardle, and many extended family and friends.
Preceded in death by his parents; sister, Phyllis and granddaughter, Heidi Marie Williams.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, May 23rd, 10:00 a.m. at the West Jordan 29th Ward, 6695 So. 2200 W. with a viewing Wednesday evening from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. at the church and one hour prior to services.
Interment, Redwood Memorial Cemetery .
The family wishes to thank the staff at Intermountain Hospice and IMC for the loving care they gave to Keith.

Keith was a wonderful mentor and friend to me. I have missed him since he left from work. I will never forget all the memorable stories he related about "down south". He was always concerned with everyone's well being and safety. He was extremely knowledgeable in his profession and much of what I am is because of him and his interest in my success. Sometimes I think that I was able to spend more waking hours with him than his family during his working years at Murray. I am grateful for his friendship. He is a great man and he loved you all very much. I remember that I knew of a lot of the goings-on of the girls as they grew up because he was always fondly telling me about their successes. He was so proud of his family. Best wishes to you, the girls, and their families.

We wanted to send our heartfelt sympathy to your family. Our acquaintance with Keith goes way back to when Oral and my father Dee Hatch worked together at GarKane. Our GarKane Family seemed like one big family at that time. We just wanted you to know that our family is thinking about you at this time and as my parents were in Richfield today and told me of Keith's passing we reminisced about the past and our connections.
We send our Love and Sympathy.
Sincerely,
The Dee & Berneal Hatch Family
