I recall Ken's sincere inquiries about my sister Carolyn as well as his gratitude for his Brigham City origins.
We miss the annual gift of Brigham City peaches.
As one of his former partners at Bryner Clinic he was a remarkable friend and excellent physician.
All the best to his family always!

Growing up with Ken and his family just houses away made life great! He was so compassionate and interesting and took amazing care of my parents, especially my father, who also served a mission to Holland. I will forever remember the apples he always dropped off for my parents and the love he radiated for everyone! He will most definitely be missed. Thanks for everything ...

Dear Nielson Family: I am really saddened to hear of your wonderful father's death. On behalf of the Green family, please pass along our deepest condolences and most sincere love on to your family.
Ken is a great servant! He is an extraordinary man. There are many in the community who will mourn deeply his passing as his was a life of service, love, compassion and excellence. May he rest in peace.
It has been my life-long experience with Ken ... that he genuinely and willingly served every-single-person who he came in contact with. He was truly a unique gift and blessing to others. He will be missed. I know that as a Doctor, Ken did very hard things every single day but he always had a smile on his face; incredible!
His caring voice will forever be in my mind as a positive influence for good. What a tremendous person! Ken not only was a larger than life personality, he was completely dedicated to treating others pain and lovingly understanding peoples suffering; so unique.
I have so many fond memories of Ken. No matter the time of day, whether he had a long day at the Clinic, or if he had just sat down to eat dinner after a hard day, Ken always made time to visit, listen, and help me. Ken continually asked my opinion and my thoughts on every pertinent topic under the sun; he cared about me. Ken made a difference in my life.
I will forever hear his play-by-play commentary of our backyard basketball games like he was Howard Cosell; so funny! Not sure how Steve and I always beat Chris and Bob (by many, many baskets each time we played) but having Kenny there with us made it all the more memorable.
As the days and weeks pass, may you continue to feel comforted by the love and support of family, friends and our Father in Heaven. Grief can be so hard at times, but our special memories will always help us cope and remember the purpose of life.
May your hearts be filled with wonderful memories of the many joyful times you had together as you celebrate a life very well lived.
We all are very lucky to have known Ken. We all are blessed to still have you, his incredible posterity. God bless you all at this time of sorrow.

Ken was great mentor, colleague and example to several generations of physicians. I feel fortunate to be one of them, and to have had him as a friend.

Dr. Nielson was indeed a Christ-like person. He was an extraordinary physician to our family especially my late father and mother and others of our family. It was my privilege to be one of his Bryner Clinic colleagues beginning in 1976. Members of our family were among many to be recipients of his gifts of Brigham City peaches. Our sincere condolences to his dear Elinor and their posterity. Thank you Ken for all the things you accomplished and for who you will always be!
