The funeral today was very nice. And I must say, I was so impressed with Braeden up there playing the piano and Jen for you sitting beside him in support. Ken was there in spirit and I'm sure, so proud. Someone used the word "stoic" to describe it. You two are so strong, and together you'll get through this.
I also loved seeing all the boys about Braeden's age there supporting him.
I hope to talk to you soon. Many prayers will be with you during this holiday season.

So sad at the news of Ken's passing so suddenly. When I told Jackson, the first thing he said was, "He died? Ohhh, he was SO nice." I remember Ken would say, "Hey, it's Jackson Brown!" or "Hey, jumpin' Jackson Brown!" with a big smile when Jackson would go to play with Braeden.
One time when he was picking up Braeden from our house somehow he found out we hadn't changed the air filters (ever) on our heater in the basement. He went right in there, found out the size and came back later with new filters and taught me how to change them. He was just a good guy like that.
He will be missed.
We are thinking about you Jen and the kids constantly. Our prayers are with you.

Jenifer and family,
I was deeply saddened when I heard of Ken's passing. His passion for everything he was involved with--work, life, family--was truly inspiring. I am honored to say that he was my co-worker and friend for the last 16 years and I will continue to remember his sense of humor and crazy stories. He was respected and loved by his fellow co-workers and our customers and we will never be able to fill in the hole that he has left behind.

My thoughts are with you and your family.

I worked with Ken for a couple years in Boise on the ITD project and we discovered that we worn born on the exact same date - November 20, 1961 - so we immediately had a bond. Although we stopped working together several years ago, we still email each other on our shared birthday. I so enjoyed Ken's friendship, his humor, and listening to stories of his wife and kids, whom he obviously adored. I will miss those yearly emails. My thoughts and prayers are with the Vallejos family and I know the happy memories you shared will help you through this difficult time.

Jen, kids and family,
Dave met Ken years ago on the airplane from one of many out of town trips, they worked for different companies, started talking and they became friends. Ken was a great guy, always friendly, he talked about his awesome family all the time and just enjoyed life. We have all been blessed to have had the opportunity of knowing Ken and how he could brighten a room by just saying hi. We were so shocked and saddened by the news of Ken's passing, he will be deeply missed by everyone. Our thoughts and prayers are with you Jen, kids and family.

Dear Jennifer and family:

We were shocked and saddened to hear of Ken's death. Like many others, we considered him a friend as well as a neighbor.

We remember how he used to save us a seat in Sunday School. I know he did it so he would have someone to sit with while you served in the Primary, but I also like to think he enjoyed our company. I know we enjoyed his warm greeting and friendly personality.

He always showed an interest in us, especially when he found out we were preparing to go to China. We feel so bad we won't be able to share our many experiences with him when we get back. It was always a pleasure to visit with both of you as we walked around the neighborhood.

We will miss Ken. We hope you will find comfort in your knowledge of Jesus Christ as our Savior and Redeemer. May his loving sacrifice bring you comfort through the blessing of the Holy Ghost.

We lived across the street from the Vallejos family for five years in South Jordan. Our favorite spot in sacrament meeting was the row in front of Ken and our kids loved Ken because he always made them laugh. Ken had a way of making others happy with his sincere smile. Jenifer, our deepest condolences to you and your children. May you find peace and comfort as you reflect on what a great man Ken was.

May the Lord bless you and your family during these hard and difficult times. Ken was a wonderful example. I enjoyed his lessons in Elders quorum. The spirit was so strong and I know it was his love for the Savior that brought that precious spirit into our lives. We will deeply miss him. We count our lives forever blessed to have known him. His memory will always live on in our hearts.

Dear Jenifer and family,
We are so sorry for your loss. Ken used to be our home teacher, and he always came over with a big smile and was so positive. He would talk to each of our kids and encourage them. It meant a lot that he took the time to see us even though he was working out of state all week. He will be missed by everyone who knew him. May you be comforted at this time, you are in our prayers.

Jenifer, Braeden, Rebecca, Makayla, & Devyn: When Bonnie & I received the news of Ken's passing we were stunned and shock. Our hearts and thoughts immediately turned to you Jenifer and your beautiful children. We pray God's comfort to be with you and the comfort of our Savior Jesus Christ to be with you as only He can give you. When the savior said, "blessed are those that mourn, for they shall be comforted". He implied much of the truths of the Gospel of Jesus Christ and that, it is o.k. to mourn, to cry, and to grieve. But since He knew the Eternal Truths of His mission and the resurrection he blessed us with His comfort of that truth. I am so thankful for that knowledge in my life as I have mourned the loss of my loved ones this past year. May this time be a reminder of the Savior's glorius mission making it possible for us all to be reunited and my you know that you are loved by many. God bless you now and always.

With Heartfelt Sympathy, condolences, and Love,

In the short time (1.5 years) that I have worked with Ken on the LA project in PSMAG, he has been very enjoyable to work with. Never a frown on his face and always a smile, Ken always had a positive attitude toward his work and personal life. With such a healthy lifestyle, this tragic event came as a shock to all, and he will TRULY be missed!

My greatest condolences to the Vallejos family.

I first met Kenny when I came to work for the State of Utah and he was working for the Utah Sports Authority, the initial organization that helped bring the Olympics to Utah. He worked hard at every task (he often quipped that if things didn't get done or get moving on a task he'd "take out his nine iron"), he loved life, he loved golf, and foremost he loved his dear companion and his children – he literally beamed when he talked about them.

I only saw Kenny about once a year after he quit working for the State of Utah - he would search me out at an annual meeting we both attended and we would quickly renew our friendship. I’ll miss his smile, his sense of humor and his outstretched hand.

Kenny Vallejos was an instant friend to everyone he came in contact with, and I’m grateful that he considered me one of his.
