Dear Cousin Brent and Family:
I heard about the passing of beautiful Laurel. I am so sorry that I missed her viewing and funeral. I knew she had been ill for quite a while, but was hopeful she could stay with us a little longer. She is now with other loved ones who have gone on before her, especially your Mom and Dad.
I appreciate all of you kids for being to every family function or funeral the Beckstead family has had. Your Mother and Dad are beaming from Heaven knowing they raised such wonderful children.
Please know our thoughts and prayers are with you at this time. If there is anything I can do, please contact me (953-5573). It is hard for those of us left behind, but nice to know there is a plan in store for us to be together again someday, forever!
Love ya.

Brent and family,
My thoughts and prayers are with you at this difficult time. I'm so glad I got to see you and Laurel at Uncle Murl's funeral. It was obvious that she was suffering but still had that sense of humor. You two are such a great couple and will be forever. I'm happy for her that she is free from the pains she was suffering. She was such a wonderful, cheerful person. I pray the Lord's peace and comfort to be with you during this time and in the coming days.

I will greatly miss Laurel. She always had a kind word and a smile to share. She was always willing to stop what she was doing and help others. Laurel always showed sincere concern for those around her. My thoughts and prayers are with those closest to her. It is always difficult to lose someone you love.

When I was 8 years old Laurel's dad took me down to the feed store and bought me a pair of cowboy boots and jeans, the supreme qualities of Laurel's dad were passed on to her. No better people can be found anywhere. And now she gets to be with her dad and my dad. She earned it.

Dear Brent and family, We were really sorry to hear about your loss. I loved Laurel. She was such a happy person to be around. I so admired are artistic abilities and treasure the sunflower notecards that she did. I loved the Christmas's that we sang in the Interfaith Choir together. God bless you all. Brent and family, Mom called this morning, I'm so sorry to hear Laura has passed on. Rolayne told me awhile back that she not been well for a while, and I meant to come see her when we were up that way. It is hard to imagine her ill for I will always remember her energy and enthusiasm in everything she did. I'll always remember you as Bishop Brent. Our favorite bishop and Laurel was always smiling and at your side. You two have always been very special to our family and it was always so nice to see you at our family weddings and parties through the years. When I think of a perfect couple, you two always come to mind. Young Womans camp was never the same if you two were not there. Remember, as we were all packed up the water fights started, everyone had to get Bishop Brent soaked, as Laurel tried to look stern telling us to stop as she herself, laughed and dodged the buckets of water. Memories of many spiritual, educational & happy times will never be forgotten. I thank the Lord for allowing Laurel's sweet spirit to touch my life...God Bless you Bishop and your family with his continued love and support. Love ya always, Terry Anderson Peterson

Brent, Larry, Kay--my heart is filled with both joy and sorrow. Joy, because Laurel is no longer suffering; sorrow because all of you are sorrowing. You are all in our prayers. I look forward to seeing you at the services.
