Laury Brent DeYoung our beloved Dad, Husband, Brother, Uncle and Friend has left us too soon on June 19, 2016. He was born in Salt Lake City on March 9, 1962, the fifth child of Lewis Henry DeYoung l and Audrey Jean Goates. His childhood was filled with joy, faith and devotion to a strong close knit family. His careers included many years as a UTA bus driver and as a butcher. "Larry" was a hard worker where his wit and dedication enabled him to make lifelong friendships. He married Christy Maughan on May 12, 2000 whom he cherished deeply. He dearly loved his children Mathew Laurence DeYoung and Destiny Anna Ray Robles, as well as their mothers and their mothers families. He was proud of and loved his son-in-law David Robles and his step-son and wife Aaron and Kassi Brinkley. We will miss his sense of humor, endless ability to spill on his shirt, and his gentle heart. As well as his Hippie spirit, wisdom and dedication to those he loved. We have lost a rare and precious gift in our lives.
He is preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his wife and children, siblings Lewis DeYoung (Lil), Rebecca Gibb (Charles), Lesley DeYoung (Vivianne), Linda Heaton (Grant),and Lyndon DeYoung (Jae) as well as many nieces, nephews, and extended family.
