Lois Evans Obituary

Lois M. Evans 1920 ~ 2006 Lois M. Evans, age 86, passed away peacefully of natural causes at her home on Sept. 30, 2006. She was a kind, generous and loving person who will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her. Lois was born on May 26, 1920, in Salt Lake City, Utah, to Edward Hoth and Lucille Robertson Hoth. She graduated from West High School in Salt Lake City in 1937 and retired from Surety Life Insurance Company in 1977. She married Orson J. Cooper on November 1, 1937, in Salt Lake City. They had one daughter and two sons. They later divorced in 1964. She was married to Oral W. Evans from 1966 until he passed away on April 12, 1997. Oral was the love of her life and she has missed him dearly for the last 10 years. They are now together again. Lois loved her children and grandchildren unconditionally and cherished the time that she spent with them. She had a genuine sense of humor with a contagious laugh that would light up the room. The loss of this wonderful lady leaves her family with an immense void that will always be felt. Survived by a daughter, Sharon (Brent) Cripps, sons, Michael Cooper, Roger Cooper. 12 grandchildren, 29 great-grandchildren, six great great grandchildren. Brother, Edward Ray (Gerri) Hoth. Preceded in death by her parents and her husband Oral W. Evans. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, October 4, 2006, at 11:00 a.m. at the Jenkins-Soffe Mortuary, 4760 South State Street, Murray, UT. A viewing will be held for friends and family before services, beginning at 10:00 a.m. Interment at Evergreen Cemetery, 1997 South 400 East, Springville, UT.
