Macy Morgan Obituary

Macy Iva Morgan 1/17/03 ~ 2/1/09 Our perfect angel, Macy Iva Morgan returned to our Heavenly Father on Feb. 1, 2009, following a life long battle with unknown medical conditions. Born on Jan. 17, 2003 in Salt Lake City, UT to Reggie and Rachele Morgan. Although Macy entered this world without the abilities to communicate, her unspoken words were strong enough to pierce the hearts of all those who were honored to know her. She touched countless lives with her limitless energy and contagious smile; always letting people know that she has entered a room. She took the trials life set before her with courage, determination and laughter, never wanting to complain. Macy has always exemplified the true Love of Christ. Macy Moo-Moo, we look forward to the day you welcome us and we are together again with our Heavenly Father. Until then you will always be in our hearts, we thank you for the humbling privilege of being your parents. We love you beyond words, and are thankful that you are now able to be free from your tattered little body, and will suffer no more. Macy is survived by her parents, Reggie and Rachele Morgan; sisters, Samantha and Josie; brother, Isaac James; grandparents, Romney and Mayrene Stewart, Randy and Vickie Morgan, and many more family members. We offer heartfelt thanks to those who served Macy throughout her life. Words will never describe the love we have for each of you; for these acts of love you WILL be blessed. Funeral services will be held Saturday, Feb. 7th, at 12 Noon at the Sandy UT East Stake Center, 9639 S. 1700 E. A visitation will be held Friday evening from 6-8 p.m. at Larkin Sunset Gardens, 1950 E. 10600 S. and again Saturday at the Stake Center from 10:30-11:45 a.m. Interment, Larkin Sunset Gardens. My daughter and I did not know Macy. We did not know either of you, her parents. We are friends of Charlene Barber and came to Macy's funeral to support her. She spoke of Macy often. We came to lift a friend and instead, as is God's way, we were lifted and our view widened. My daughter and I held each other after the service and spoke of our own life challenges differently. That night, I had the chance to be with friends, one particularly, who began to share a burden she didn't think she was able to face. I shared with her Macy's story, your stories, as you shared them with me, and she too was lifted and felt calm and more able to face tomorrow. She thanked me for sharing Macy's story. The next day I sat with a troubled, brillant child of our Father in Heaven, so burdened with life as she saw it, and I shared Macy's story. She too felt as I did the strength and calm of acceptance and ability far beyond imagination of the human spirit to handle and thrive through this incredible human experience. Because of your courage to stand up at the most difficult meeting of your lives and share from your heart where you have been the last six years, everyone in that congregation took some of Macy and spread her out into many more lives for good. Thank you, thank you, we were all blessed because we were there.

No better parents than you two could Macy have for her short life here and forever in the eternities. What a sweetheart she is! We only knew her for a short time, but she was like a sweet rose. Our prayers are with you. May you have peace and assurance knowing that families are forever and she will be your little rose once again. All our love,

Oh Reggie I am so sorry for the loss of your beautiful daughter. What a blessing it is to have the knowledge that we will be together again. She was a perfect spirit. She was true to our Heavenly Father. She honored him in a great way in Heaven. She proved her love and only needed a short time here on earth to receive a body, and show her parents the way back to Heaven. She is with him once again waiting for you and your family to join her. I love you and my thoughts and prayers are with you.

My heart goes out to your family. I loved Macy and was so lucky to have known her. Having her in my classroom for 2 years was such a wonderful experience. She made me a better teacher and a better person. Everyone who met her loved her. She was so amazing and your family is amazing. Thank you for letting me be apart of her life. I learned so much from her and I will always picture her smiling because she was always so happy. Your family is in my prayers.

It was such a great privilege to have known Macy since her birth as her pediatrician and to see the amazing capacity of Reggie and Rachele as they dealt with each stage of her life. You are celestial people and deserve to be with Macy when your mortal existences end and you see her again. This will stand as one of the greatest experiences of my life and professional career to have been part of your lives.
Love, Dr. Bentley

Reggie and Rachele,
I am so sorry for your loss. I cannot begin to understand what feelings and emotions you have at this time. I do understand however and know that Families can be together forever! You two were the best parents that little Macy could have. Indeed she knew before she agreed to come to this world what she would face here in mortality. She also knew that you, as her parents, would be able to provide for all of her needs both spiritually and temporally. You are truly blessed to be Macy’s parents. We love you and thank you for your example. You will be in our prayers and may the Lord continue to bless you and your family.

Rachele and Reggie:

Our entire family joins in expressing our love to you and your family. We know from personal experience what it is to bid farewell for a season to one of your children. She will forever leave a hole in your family circle, but will inspire you and lead you along life's path in ways you cannot now even begin to appreciate. She will be an eternal blessing for you, and be assured she will now be able to communicate her love to you even more profoundly than when she was with you.

All our love,
