Maloree Hunt Obituary

Maloree Rose Hunt 1989 ~ 2005 ST. GEORGE, UTAH - Maloree Rose Hunt, age 16, beloved daughter, granddaughter, sister, and friend, returned to the loving arms of our Heavenly Father on Friday, July 8, 2005, after a courageous battle with Leukemia. Maloree was born in Murray, Utah, on April 10, 1989, to Darin and Candy Kingsbury Hunt. Maloree is a chosen daughter, full of faith and love for all who knew her. She was always eager to help others and especially enjoyed children and her cats. She served in many ways, earning her Young Women in Recognition Award by organizing a fund raiser for Light the Night Walk for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. Among her many talents, she enjoyed writing and poetry, having several published online for poetry.com, and also winning a Young America's Author Award. She enjoyed working with the Make a Wish Foundation of Utah, as a Wish Ambassador. We join with the many whose lives she profoundly touched in mourning her loss. She will be greatly missed but never forgotten. She is survived by her: parents, Darin and Candy, sister, Tierra, and brother, Brennon, all of St. George; grandparents, Jim and Maureen Buetler, of Beaver, UT, and Judith Kingsbury, of Mesa, AZ; along with many dear aunts, uncles and cousins. She is preceded in death by her grandfather, Marlan Hunt, formerly of Beaver, UT. We wish to thank the many caring doctors and nurses who have cared for her over the years, especially those who were also good friends at Primary Children's Medical Center. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, July 12, 2005 at 1:00 p.m. at the Beaver 6th Ward Chapel of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, located at 1380 E. 200 N., Beaver, UT. Friends may call Monday, July 11, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Spilsbury Mortuary and again Tuesday, from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., prior to services, at the Chapel. Interment will be in the Mountain View Cemetery in Beaver, UT. Arrangements are made under the direction of Spilsbury Mortuary, 110 S. Bluff St., St. George, UT, (435) 673-2454. I feel that I have been robbed of every smile since I last seen her..

even then I'm not sure she knew that I was there.I will always remember Mal with the heart of gold, and the smile that the angels must surely envy. I am so bitter at the thought of never seeing her or hearing her sweet voice again.Mal...I love you more than you love me...don't worry be happy.I find peace in knowing that she will finally meet Grandpa And Grandma Savage,I know that they are all resting in the in the arms of Jesus. Again I love you Mal..Aunt Sarah

Dear Hunt Family,

My heart is very full and sad. We just want you to know that you were very lucky to have had the chance to raise such a special girl. Even tho you had much heartache and lots of work, you did a super job and were always there for her.

I will never forget when she would come with you visiting teaching, when her hair was gone, She would always have a smile, a beautiful smile, on her face and was so bubbly and full of life. She never showed it, if she was down, tho I am sure she had some bad days. She was such an addition to the Young Women's here in Lehi and

did much to make everyone happy. Our street has been very quiet since you all moved to St. George, we miss the fun and love and happiness that your family shared with us all. Our prayers are with you, May the Spirit comfort and guide you at this time. You are a special family, the Lord will see you through. Love, The Jim Cox Family

Dear Hunt Family,

In thinking of Maloree's passing I am quite saddened. I think of Maloree and what a "bright" girl she is which makes me think of a quote by Elzabeth Kubler-Ross

"People (Maloree) are like stained glass windows. They sparkle and shine when the sun is out, but when darkness sets in, their true beauty is revealed only it there is a light from within".

Maloree had this inner light. She was beautiful and I am thankful to have met her.

Sincerely,

Sam - Maloree's wish granter - MAWFU

Candy and Darin,

I want you to know that our prayers and love are with you at this time. (How I wish I could put my arms around both of you and let you know that I do care) Jessica has told me how sweet Mallory is -- I am sorry that I did not get to know her.

I do know that Mallory is with loved ones - It is sweet to know that she is with her Great-Grandma Furbay who has welcomed her with loving and open arms.

Brother Rodgers joins me in sending our love and prayers in your behalf. Sister Rodgers.

Candy, Darin, and Family,

My deepest, heart-felt love and prayers are with you now. Maloree left such a legacy with positive influences of love, character, determination, and tremendous courage. It was a true honor and privilege to have someone of her caliber in my fifth grade class. I will never forget her shining example. She was a remarkable individual and I will miss her so much. Yet, I'm excited to see her again someday. Candy, I am just now beginning to find that peace in my heart you talked about. I love all of you.

Dear Darin, Candy, Tierra, and Brennon,

Words seem so inadequate right now. Our hearts are broken at this time. We were hoping things would have turned out differently. Our sorrow is great.

We will cherish our memories of Maloree. Our memories go way back to when you lived just two houses away from us. Your children and ours would play for hours. Matt's first "backwards movie" was of your children. That was back when Maloree was healthy and young. It is horrible how cancer creeps in and steals a life.

One of the times when Maloree was sick and hurting, she came into my home and asked me how I was doing? This will always stay with me. Often when she would see me, she would ask me how I was doing. I was amazed at her kindness and love. She demonstrated love, kindness, endurance, patience, and dignity. She was a beautiful girl inside and out. We will miss her smile. What is amazing is that she would still smile, even through her pain and suffering. She seemed to take interest in others and not draw attention to herself. What an amazing young woman!!

Our hearts go out to you, the family. You have been through more than any person should have to go through. I think of the years, the days, the minutes of how you have served Maloree and taken such good care of her. You have been there for her every need. Candy, your life has been devoted to serving Maloree. You did so very much for her. We hope that each one of you will feel at peace in knowing that you served Maloree well. You loved her, you cared for her, your heart broke for her. May the Spirit comfort you in knowing that you did ALL you could do - nobody could have given more than you did!

We love you and pray that you will feel at peace.

With all of our love,

The Nott family,

Hi Candy and Daren:

There are no words to say other than I am thinking of you both and your sweet children. I hope to see you at the funeral to give you my love and hugs of comfort. Until then. God be with you in the days ahead.

I am standing upon a seashore,

a ship at my side spreads her

white sail and starts for the

blue ocean.

She is an object of great

beauty and strength.

And I watch her until at

length the sea and sky

come down to mingle with

each other.

Then someone at my side says

"There she's gone."

Gone where?

Gone from my sight that

is all.

She is just as large in mast

and hull and spar as she was

when she was at my side.

And just as able to bear her

load of living weight to a

place of destination.

Her diminished size is in me

not in her.

And just at that moment

when someone at my side says

"There she's gone".

There are other eyes watching

her come and other ears to

take the glad shout

"Here she comes."

May the knowlege of the Plan of Salvation comfort and give you peace.

Love Aunt Vicki, Stephen and family

We were so sorry to hear about Maloree. We have her obituary up in the dance studio for all of her and Tierra's old friends to see. What a beautiful young woman she grew into. We will think of her in a much better place now. Lot's of love from your friends at Dance Explosion.
