Shannon and Hugh, our thoughts and prayers are with you and your two sons, Josh and Zach.

Words are difficult at a time of such grieving, as the loss of a loved one is never easy, even when expected or anticipated. Thus, it is most definitely more difficult when someone so special and so young is taken from us too soon. Your loss of your son Marc, who left us at such a tender and wondrous age of only 22, is everyone's sad and troubling loss, as we are left with such a painful reminder of what might have been.

Bruce and I offer our deepest sympathy and sincere condolence at this extremely difficult time. Our prayer is for God's blessings on you and your young family and for an outpouring of love, sympathy, and acts of kindness from family, friends, neighbors, and strangers.

Know that many feel your loss, and may you feel the comfort in knowing that Marc has joined those family members, who have gone before him. His grandmother Judy, great grandparents, and his father in heaven represent just a few who are now embracing him, and our prayer is sincere that these thoughts will help guide and comfort all of you through this difficult time. May you find peace, courage, and strength to endure and move forward with confidence in knowing that Marc was well loved and his life well lived.

In closing, we would like to leave you with this old Sanskrit Saying.

LOOK TO THIS DAY
Look to this day for it is the very life of life.
In its brief course lie all the verities
and realities of your existence.
The Glory of Action
The Bliss of Growth
The Splendor of Beauty
For yesterday is but a dream
and tomorrow is only a vision.
But today, well lived,
makes every yesterday a dream of happiness,
and every tomorrow a vision of hope.
Look well, therefore, to this day.

Yours in Love and Peace,

Shannon Smith

We loved having Marc in our home. He worked with amazing skill and speed and always held to the highest possible standards of professionalism. His selfless nature and pleasant demeanor created a confidence which drew others to him. Just the week before he passed, my sister Judith said to me, "Marc is the most honest person I know".
Such a terrible loss for all.
