I was very lucky to see and talk to one of my favorite teachers this April. Of course, he did not remember me, for it was 34 years ago. He gave me a very good compliment,( "You have aged very well") He look well himself, I did not know he was ready to soar high to Heaven so quickly. Rest in Peace Mr Jensen. My condolences to his wife I met that day and to his family.

We will miss our hunting partner! We had many great years hunting in North Dakota. I will remember them all! Maynard was a role model in all he did; educator, conservationist, father and friend. To Rob, Kathy, Randy and families, it was an honor to know Maynard. Joe Trujillo

Rob, Kathy and families, besides Maynards wonderful teaching ability and great sense of humor. I also carry some fond memories of days at the links and some very good Idaho pheasant hunts, which I felt lucky to have had the opportunity to be part of.
He was always one of my favorites at THS.

Mr. Jensen was a favorite teacher of mine and one of those who inspired me to teach. I remember feeling valued and encouraged...and as a teacher myself...that is usually as important or more important than the subject taught...Thank you Maynard for being such a great role model and supporter for me later when I taught at THS!!....the run-on sentence is just for you Maynard. I loved his sense of humor. Deb Moran-Martin

Mr. Jensen was a terrific English/Literature teacher. I had him in 11th grade and learned so much. He made those classic books come "alive".
I can see why his son, Rob followed in his footsteps. Your dad was a lot of fun and will be missed, I'm sure.

To the Jensen Family. My sincere condolences. Mr. Jensen was one of my most favorite teachers in High School. I will never forget the day the hunchback came to class and landed on my desk. I let out a big scream. ( my nose had been buried in the book he was going to test us on.) He was laughing so hard when he tried to come back in the room that he wasn't able to keep control and act as though nothing happened. Every time he looked at me he started laughing. Everything I learned in his class was memorable. I especially liked the day he didn't send me home to change my skirt. When I knelt on the floor and it didn't touch he kept whispering (bend forward). When I finally realized what he was saying I bent forward so my hem touched the floor. Then he told me after class to have my Mom take the hem out as I had grown taller. He said he didn't want to send me home for something as ridiculous as that. Thank you for giving me so many wonderful memories of 9th grade at Tooele High. Thank you for being my teacher and friend. With love and fondness. Kathryn Hansen Imlay

Kathy,
I was sorry to hear of the passing of your father. I can see where the good looks came from. He is a handsome man and looks very happy also. Even though he was getting along in age, it is always a shock when a parent dies. My thoughts have been with you since I heard about this from Rachel. I have such high regard for you and feel blessed to have you as a friend, I know he must be a great person also.
Love to you and yours,
Diane Barlow
