Neldon Cochran Obituary
Neldon Grant Cochran was born Feb. 13, 1930, in Darbun Mississippi, the third child of Gertrude Lewis and Arvil Alexander Cochran. He married Carmen Black on Aug. 18, 1955, in the Salt Lake Temple of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. They are the parents of six children. He died unexpectedly on Oct. 1, surrounded by many, many members of his family. Neldon was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters, and his wife. He is survived by his two brothers, two sisters, his children, 17 grandchildren, and 13 great grandchildren (at last count). He is loved and missed.
Funeral service in South Jordan, Utah, will be held at 11:00am on Friday October 6, 2017 at the LDS Church Chapel, 1409 West Shields Lane, where friends may visit with the family from 9:00am to 10:30am prior to the service at the church.
Visitation and friends visit with family in Blanding, Utah will be held from 10:00am to 12 noon on Saturday October 7, 2017 at the Blanding Stake Center, 88 West 800 North. Interment will be in the Blanding City Cemetery with Dedication and Military Honor Guard at 12:30pm. Guestbook to post memories and tributes for the family is available at: www.HolbrookMortuary.com

WE HAVE MANY FOND MEMORIES OF NELDON OVER THE YEARS, TEACHING WITH HIM AT SAN JUAN HIGH SCHOOL, SERVING IN THE BLANDING 5TH WARD, AND WORKING WITH HIM IN THE SUMMERS FOR THE SAN JUAN COUNTY RECREATION.
HE WAS A CHERISHED FRIEND WHO WILL ALWAYS REMAIN TO US AS ONE OF GOD'S MOST CHERISHED INDIVIDUALS. HE WILL BE GREATLY MISSED. WE WILL MISS HIS BEAUTIFUL SOUTHERN ACCENT WHEN HE WOULD SUDDENLY SURPRISE US WITH A PHONE CALL AS HE DID LAST FRIDAY WHEN WE JOKED ABOUT GOING ON FOUR WHEELERS TO THE BEAUTIFUL BLUE MOUNTAINS.
BECKY, BRUCE, ROBERT, JERRY, STEPHEN, CORRY: YOU, YOUR FATHER & MOTHER WERE AN IMPORTANT PART OF OUR LIVES. YOU & THEY MADE LASTING MEMORIES FOR US IN OUR BLANDING LIVES. THANK YOU FOR SHARING THEM WITH US AND OUR FAMILY. THANKS FOR THE MEMORIES (AS BOB HOPE WOULD SAY) WE LOVE YOU ALL.
