I think Peter Pruess may have been the best kept secret in Edgehill Ward. He went about doing so much good in such a quiet way. He was my home teacher up until a few days ago and I have never had a better pair than him and his companion. I admire his life and the way he lived. As far as I can tell, he was committed to his family and to the Savior. My life is blessed to have known him and been close enough to see his example. What a good man!

Rebecca and Susy - I was so sad to hear of your father's passing. I have known your family since I first started coming to your home as a Home Teacher when I was a Teacher in the Aaronic Priesthood. Ruth and Peter were exceptionally kind to me even after I moved out of the ward. It was always such a pleasure to see them. I am happy they are together again and I am sure both of you can always remember them with love and happiness. My best wishes to you and your families.

Rebecca and Susy,
Just a note of sorrow in your time of grief. I loved your father and know that there was never a man more dedicated to doing right. As the ward financial clerk, Peter could be counted on to balance every penny. He was always held as the example in the stake, to which the other wards were asked to strive. I very much enjoyed the times we spent together making the deposits or writing checks to cover the needs of our ward. I still have many notes that your mother sent me and I will cherish your family as a part of my own forever. I hope you find comfort in knowing that he is now among those for whom he labored so diligently. He was a rock in compiling your Family History.

I worked with Peter at Reclamation. He was such a wealth of knowledge, dependable, and reliable. May the family be comforted by the wonderful memories left behind.

Peter is a great friend. I saw him walking the neighborhood hundreds of times over the years. I loved that he loved and studied the scriptures and shared his knowledge. I will miss him a lot. Sorry for your loss but I am so grateful to call him my friend.

I worked with Peter at the Bureau of Reclamation. He was a fine person and well respected. May the Lord be with you in your loss.
