Randy Peterson Obituary

Randy Peterson 1941 ~ 2003  Jay Randall Randy Peterson, 62, was called home June 19, 2003.  Born February 10, 1941 in Phoenix, Arizona to Jay and Jewell Sims Peterson. He graduated from San Jose High School and San Jose State University. Randy was an avid historian and writer, the author of Tomiar and The Blacklanders , and an explorer and adventurer at heart. He loved music, being proficient at the ukulele, recorder, and harmonica. A member of the LDS Church, he sang in the Lincoln Ward choir. He is survived by his sister, Louanne (Wendell) Evensen; her children, Alan (Leeza) Evensen, Eric (Diana) Evensen, Darrel (Keri) Evensen, Diane (Troy) Smith, and many others who love him dearly. He was preceded in death by his parents.  Memorial services will be 10:00am, Tuesday, July 8, 2003 at the Granite Tabernacle, 2005 South 900 East, Salt Lake City, Utah. Graveside services were held June 20, 2003 at Murray City Cemetery.
