I don't know Rich personally, but my fiance and I were the first to arrive at the scene that night and right to Rich's side. We were there with him until help arrived. I just want you to know how sorry I am and not a day goes by that I don't think of Rich. My thoughts and prayers go out to his family and friends. May god bless you.

Dear Mr. and Mrs Christensen,

Not a day goes by that I do not think about the time I met your son. However brief the meeting it made a large impact on me. You see I was the one holding your son until the paramedics got there. I wish I could have met Richard under different circumstances. As I sat with your son I prayed over him that God comfort him in his hour of need. I also prayed that if there was anything that I could do that God show me. I talked to him, it seemed to help. I wish I could have done more and I am very sorry that this happened, I like to think God may have placed me there just to pray for him at this time. I am sorry I did not write earlier, I wasn't sure of what I would say to you. I can not imagine the pain you must feel, I only hope that I did not cause any more hurt to you. I just thought I should tell you that there was some one there to pray over your son and sit with him in this trying time. Your son has touched my life and I will never forget him.

I am deeply sorry for your loss. My thoughts and prayers to your family.

Through out history everyone is given advice. We choose what advice to follow based on our own individuality. Richard is an individual who is remembered for many good and different things by all who met him. There has been innumerable mention of Rich’s kind acts, ability to spread cheer, and his willingness to lend a sympathetic ear. I am very impressed and would like to thank each and every person for your kind words, great compassion, and selfless acts. I anticipate the day when Richard and I walk shoulder to shoulder before you and offer our gratitude. Until then I strive to be prepared to offer my willing hand in assistance if asked.

Time is a mysterious thing. Our fragile bodies are here for a relatively short amount of time, however our influence on history can last much longer. What will we accomplish with the time allotted to us? What will people remember of us? Our precious time should not be wasted on trivial things that lack significance.

My intent is not to give advice, but to point out a few things I have learned from brother, and friend Richard. Through Rich I learned it is possible to be calm and composed in a world full of noise and haste, that there is peace in silence. That time spent with friends and especially family can be slowed down while valued memories are built. Rich has helped me to learn that life is about choosing right over wrong. As the superficial things in life increase it still boils down to choosing the right thing or suffering the consequences.

If we do the right thing and help others along the way we will be remembered like Richard; kind, liked by all he came in contact with, and forever with a smile. These things we can also be remember by if we remember and follow Richards example.

Dear Richard until we meet again thank you for all you have given and taught me.

Rich,

It was the hardest thing for me to hear of your passing. I know that we weren't the best of friends but you were on the of the best people in this world. I still can't cope with the saying that the good die young. I see now thats it's true.. You were a blessing for me at school you always smiled and could get me to laugh when I needed it I would be a differnet person Rich if I never would have met you!! I'll NEVER forget you and you'll always be in my prayers. Keep an eye out for me. I miss you. I wish I could've at least told you good-bye...

Love ya man,

Rich Had an increidable spirit about him, many gifts from God. He loved and excepted everyone. He was a great example and best friend to both my brother and sister. They shared many laughs and confided in each other. He was a trust worthy friend. He had a willing heart and was there for them as a light and refuge from their troubles with life. I'am greatful to him for being the person he is. I am also greatful that my Savior and Brother Jesus Christ paied the price for my sins and i know 3 days later he arose. Rich is in a better place. He is there with many loved ones for we are all brothers and sisters in Gods eyes. He is a light unto the others on the other side and is shareing the gospel through his example. I know beyond a showdow of a doubt we will see rich again. He is a special spirit and has much to do. I know God has a plan for each one of his children and I know there is a perpous in everything. My heart goes out to his family. God bless you and don't forget God does hear and answer prayers.

Karen and Jerry,

I am truly sorry for your loss of your son. I was shocked when I found out. I was going to be to the viewing, but it was too soon for me to be at another viewing or funeral, as I just lost my mother on the 14th. I am sending by deepest regrets for you and your family as I have just been through what you are experiencing at this time. Remember that the Lord is with you at this time of grief and sorrow, and so are my prayers. God be with you and your family at this time.

WE were taught emotions for a reason. To cry when we are hurt or when we are sad. To smile or yell when we are happy or mad But, no one ever thought to teach us to coup. I guess God left out one important note. But he didn't forgot to teach us to remember..Remembering makes you smile when you think of the good times, it makes you cry when you are sad.It makes your heart grow fonder even though the absence may wonder..But, most of all as time goes by our crying for you will subside, our smiles will shine to the otherside because God gave us the emotion to remember you everytime...

We'll smile for you Richard!!!
