I have lived next door to Mary Ann & Richard and could not ask for nicer neighbors. Richard helped me with many small projects, always willing to help. As we all stood out by the fence talking I will always remember how nice he smelled! I will miss him for sure.
Mary Ann & Trent, I know you will be strong and carry on but take comfort in knowing how many people loved that gentle man.

Mary Anne & Trent:
I think the utimate compliment that can be said of a man was that he was unique and honest. Rich was just that; and he refused to allow anyone to typecast him as if they knew him. I remember bow hunting with him years ago and I was lost for the day. You should have seen the relief on his face when we reunited that evening. That same year we swamped his truck turkey hunting trying to cross a stream and there was water everywhere! We howled about that the whole trip! Rich had a genuine warmth that is rare in our world today. Even though we really hadn't spent time together in years our relationship always endured. He was a good friend and a blast to be around. He was an inspiring mentor to my son when he was the Explorer leader. Rich was large in stature and Spirit and he lived up to it. I know you and Trent will have a wonderful reunion with him someday and it will be better and bigger than ever. I will see you tonight, but remember we love you guys!!

Dear Maryann and Trent - Wyatt and I are so sincerely sorry for the loss of this wonderful man. I tried to explain to Wyatt the other night what heaven was... I told him that now, Richard sits on the porch of heaven and watches him ride his scooter from there. We can't hear him laugh and smile, but it doesn't mean he's not. We have been so blessed and lucky to have you right next to us for 15 years. Richard and his stories, smiles and laughter will be truly missed. When you think about Richard's life don't cry because it's over, smile because it happened... Our thoughts and prayers are with you. All of our love, Natalie and Wyatt Baker
