Richard LeDosquet Obituary

April 20, 1923 ~ July 9, 2013
Richard Howard LeDosquet, our beloved husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather, died July 9, 2013. He was born to Joseph and Jenny LeDosquet in Williston, ND, April 20, 1923. During World War II, he served in the Army in New Guinea, the Philippines and Japan.
He grew up loving the outdoors and determined to be a forester. As a result he graduated from Utah State with a degree in Forest Management. While in Logan he joined the LDS Church and married Sarah Margaret Quinney on August 22, 1949. They were later sealed in the Logan LDS Temple.
He taught school and was a principal in Boise. He eventually was able to pursue his chosen career to be a forester working for the BLM which took his family to Burley and Boise ID, Sparks and Ely NV and Juneau and Fairbanks, AK. He served faithfully in many callings in LDS church including: bishop, District President (Fairbanks, AK) and patriarch. Scouting was dear to his heart, and he helped boys advance in scouting as long as he was able.
Richard and Sarah served as missionaries in Tampa, Key West and Fort Lauderdale, FL and as temple workers in the Boise and Ogden temples. Sarah died in March, 2004.
Richard married Faye Haddon Nov. 4, 2004. He is survived by Faye; his four children: Linda Ford (Blaine), Layton, UT; Louise Jenkins (Eugene), Pasco, WA; Richard Q. I had the opportunity to have him in my teacher prep class during church! Any time he made a comment the class always became extremely quiet. All were eager to hear what Bro. Ledosquet had to say! He brought the spirit into our class everytime he spoke! What a great gift!
