I need to tell you that I knew your father although not well. We were the same age and had the same name. We called him (lovingly) "Farmer" in order to distinguish him from me and i from him. I also knew your mother in that she lived across the street from my first cousins the Wrathalls'. i want to share a story with you that I have told many time around the camp fire and have also noted in my personal journal to my family as well.
My fathers business nessessated that the family move from tooele where I was born and raised to Utah County. I was not happy in the move and pushed against it but alas to no avail. Your father was a stright "A" student, I on the oher hand was not. After I had situated in my new school it came to the attention to the student counselors that I was not adjusting well and a meeting with them and i was appointed.
I remember sitting on the opposite side of the table listening to the counselor telling how woriied the school was in that I had (since my relocation) slipped from being a stright "A" student to that of a struggling "C". While speaking the counselor turned the transcript in question towards me so as it could be pointed out with out question that I indeed had an emotional problem. My vantage point alerted me to the fact that Tooele High had sent your Dads file instead of mine.
I need to tell you that I did notheing to correct the mistake and to this day take great pride in riding your Fathers coat tails (for the short time that it was) as a scholar. It was such a good feeling, and seeing the confusion on the counselors face even added more pride to the charade.
You need to know that your Father had a good, gentle, calming Karma about him and was very much liked by all
